The comp problem
A raw signed card is not the same collectible as an authenticated slab.
Same player. Same card. Same signature? Maybe.
But one card may ask you to trust a listing. Another may carry third-party authentication, a card grade, an autograph grade, or all three.
That difference matters when price comping.
A raw sale can be useful context, but it is not a direct comp for an authenticated and slabbed autograph. Before making an offer, compare the card, the autograph, the authentication, the grades, and the overall presentation.
