Meet the Visionary Behind LVBC
Yoomi Lee
Ballet Mistress & Co-Founder, Las Vegas Ballet Company
A former Principal Dancer with the prestigious Universal Ballet Company in South Korea, Yoomi Lee went on to enjoy a distinguished 10-year career as a leading artist with Nevada Ballet Theatre. Together with her husband, Kyudong Kwak, she founded the nonprofit Las Vegas Ballet Company (LVBC) with a mission to preserve and share the beauty of classical ballet within the Las Vegas community.
Under their artistic leadership, LVBC has continued to present high-quality classical productions while nurturing the next generation of dancers and audiences. Their dedication has established a unique artistic identity rooted in tradition, excellence, and passion.
On June 20, LVBC presents its Summer Gala Festival at the Summerlin Performing Arts Center, featuring highlights from beloved classical masterpieces including Paquita, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, and contemporary works in an exciting gala format.
A particularly anticipated moment of the evening will be the performance of the Swan Lake Pas de Deux by Yoomi Lee and Artistic Director Kyudong Kwak. Though retired from their professional performing careers, the couple returns to the stage to share their artistry once more—a rare and heartfelt performance that promises to inspire audiences and celebrate a lifetime devoted to ballet.
✨ Join us for an unforgettable evening of classical beauty, artistry, and inspiration.
