This one is hard to hear if you’re a great teacher. Which you probably are.

Most yoga teachers think the problem is the product. So they spend another year perfecting the curriculum, filming it again, buying another certification.

But if no one sees it, no one buys it.

Here’s what the best-marketed yoga offers have that the “best” ones don’t:

1. A clear person. Not “anyone who wants to feel better.” A specific yoga student with a specific problem.

2. A clear promise. What changes for them, and how fast?

3. A clear path. One link, one page, one next step. Not a website with 14 tabs. A confused mind always says no.

4. Consistent traffic. On average, it takes 100 people seeing your offer before one buys. Thirty visitors a month isn’t a marketing plan, it’s a wish.

"That's not very yoga."
"You're not yoga enough."
"You shouldn't be teaching yoga."

If you've been in the yoga world for more than five minutes, someone has said one of these to you. Online or right to your face.

Here's what I think: that's BS.

Yoga doesn't belong to the people with the most flexible hamstrings, the fanciest lineage, or the loudest opinions in the comments.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

And standing in a yoga studio doesn't make you the gatekeeper of who gets to share yoga.

The yoga teacher with the bigger body. The one who teaches chair yoga to seniors. The one doing yoga on a horse, on a paddleboard, in a living room on Zoom. The one who got certified at 55. You belong here.

Somebody out there needs exactly the way YOU teach yoga. Not the way someone else thinks you should.

So share it anyway. Teach it anyway. Post it anyway.

Let's clear this up before you spend another dollar on a course that promised you'd "wake up to sales."

When I took my yoga teaching online, I had already owned and sold three yoga studios. I knew hard work. And that first year online was still the dark night of the soul.

Year one: $24,000.
Year two: $79,000.
Year three: $151,000.

Nothing about that was passive. Here's what it actually took:

1. Building one clear offer instead of ten half-finished ideas.
2. Posting every single day, even when nobody was watching.
3. Learning my own funnels and ads instead of waiting for someone to rescue me.
4. Promoting forever. Creating the yoga course is about 10% of the work. Getting it seen is the other 90%.

What comes with being in the right rooms, like someone whose business literally lives and dies on whether people can find it… you learn new things and uplevel. I just ate the free dinners. Now I pay for my own dinners. 😎

But here’s the part that honestly changed everything for me, and I want to hand it to you:

SEO isn’t a tech person’s game. It’s just “how do people find you when they’re actually looking?”

And the good news? You don’t have to be an expert to start. You just need to start saying the thing you do, in the place people search for it.

One honest reality I’ve learned: most people are waiting to “get discovered.” The few who get found aren’t being discovered, they made themselves findable on purpose.
