"The Las Vegas Monarchs Police/Fire Baseball team consists of Emergency Service and Law Enforcement professionals serving the Las Vegas Valley.
The team has been in existence in one form or another for 25 years and has been primarily devoted to raising money for The Injured Police Officers Fund and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, during our annual charity baseball games against the City/County Fire Departments. Congratulations Las Vegas Monarchs for beating one of the best teams in the country the US Border Patrol and winning the Gold Medal at the Nevada Police and Fire Games! We had a great tournament offensively with Malik Smith hitting for the cycle in the Gold Medal game and everyone contributing and hitting the ball extremely hard! Pitching lead the way for us with Cody Thompson, Greg Martinez, James Bertuccini, and Shawn Romprey all posting wins! Shane Clatterbuck was absolutely dominant as the closer and the key to the teams success! Great job Monarchs!
The Monarchs will be playing today for the Gold in the 2014 Nevada Police and Fire Games. They will be facing the United States Border Patrol who they beat 4-3 in a tough fought in an earlier round Robbin game. The Monarchs have played great baseball all tournament and currently sit at 3-0 having beat LV Metro, LAPD, and US Border Patrol! Game time today is 330pm at Centennial HS, come out and show your support!
The Las Vegas Monarchs will be playing in the Nevada Police/Fire Games Wednesday August 3, 2011 against The Dallas Fire Department at 4pm and the Los Angeles Police Department Centurians at 7pm. The games are at the College of Southern Nevada, so come out and support your emergency service workers.
