The 2026 season is underway, and we want to make sure every conference, league, and team stays on track and ELIGIBLE FOR AYF POSTSEASON PLAY!

📅 AUGUST 15 — D2/D3 CONFERENCE DESIGNATION REQUEST FORMS
All D2/D3 Conference Designation Request Forms MUST be completed by 8/15.

📅 AUGUST 25 — AYF CONFERENCE AUDIT FORMS
All AYF Conference Audit Forms MUST be submitted to the AYF National Office by 8/25.

📅 SEPTEMBER 1 — TEAM MEMBERSHIP DEADLINE
🚨 ALL TEAM MEMBERSHIP MUST BE COMPLETED IN THE MYAYF SYSTEM BY 9/1!

Teams that do not have their membership completed in the MyAYF system by the deadline WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR AYF POSTSEASON PLAY.

📅 SEPTEMBER 1 — FINAL POSTSEASON DECLARATIONS
All final declarations for postseason play MUST be submitted to your Regional Chairman by 9/1.

⚠️ DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!
Conference and league leadership should make sure their teams understand these deadlines and have everything completed and submitted on time.

The countdown is over. It's time to set the tone for an incredible 2026 season.

At American Youth Football, we believe that culture is built before the first whistle blows. August is about preparing our athletes, coaches, parents, and communities for a season rooted in respect, sportsmanship, and character.

Still looking for a team? No problem. Whether you're a first-time player, new to the area, or a free agent looking for the right fit, we'll help place you on a team and get you practicing as soon as possible.

This is your opportunity to compete where the lights shine the brightest and the competition is at its highest level. Nevada Youth Sports has produced back-to-back seasons with 10 teams qualifying for the AYF National Championships, and this fall could be your chance to be part of that tradition.

Tackle football families, coaches, and team staff:

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the entirety of this upcoming week. The safety of our athletes must come first. All tackle teams are expected to use extreme caution during practices.

At a minimum:
- Provide frequent water breaks.
- No football gear should be worn during practice.
- Utilize shade whenever possible and shorten or modify practice activities.
- Closely monitor all athletes for any signs of heat-related illness..

Please follow all heat safety best practices and put player health ahead of everything else. There will be plenty of time to prepare for the season, but there is no practice more important than keeping our athletes safe.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our players healthy and safe.

NYS is proud to continue our partnership with the LVMPD Youth Engagement Team and the Raiders to help create more opportunities for youth in our community through the Football Equipment Rental Program!

This initiative is designed to reduce barriers to participation by providing access to Riddell SpeedFlex helmets and Riddell Power Surge shoulder pads while connecting young athletes with organized football opportunities, mentorship, life-skills development, and positive community support.

Through this partnership, we're committed to helping young people build confidence, develop leadership skills, and experience the many benefits that come from being part of a team.

For our teams competing in the Fall 2026 season with us, our Coaches Meeting will be this Saturday, June 6th at 11 AM @ Silverado HS!

Attendance is mandatory for all tackle football teams playing in the Fall 2026 season. Please send a minimum of one (1) representative from your team/association.
