π TAKING THE SIDELINES BACK - AUGUST IS BACK TO FOOTBALL MONTH! π
The countdown is over. It's time to set the tone for an incredible 2026 season.
At American Youth Football, we believe that culture is built before the first whistle blows. August is about preparing our athletes, coaches, parents, and communities for a season rooted in respect, sportsmanship, and character.
Throughout the month, every AYF league is encouraged to focus on:
β
Opening Day Activities
β
Respect the Game Sideline Signage
β
Team Banners
β
Social Media Engagement
β
Parent Orientation Meetings
Our mission is simple:
One Vision. One Movement. One Culture.
Together, we're Taking Back the Sidelines by creating positive environments where kids can learn, compete, and grow while families and communities unite around the game we love.
Our Goal: Launch culture expectations before competition begins.
Because when we lead with respect, everyone wins.
π For the Kids.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ For the Families.
π For the Communities.

Take the field with NYS for the Fall 2026 Tackle Football & Cheer season!
Standard registration is open through Sunday, August 23rd β don't wait to lock in your spot for the premier youth tackle football league in Southern Nevada.
Still looking for a team? No problem. Whether you're a first-time player, new to the area, or a free agent looking for the right fit, we'll help place you on a team and get you practicing as soon as possible.

π¨ Tackle Football Heat Advisory π¨
Tackle football families, coaches, and team staff:
An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the entirety of this upcoming week. The safety of our athletes must come first. All tackle teams are expected to use extreme caution during practices.
At a minimum:
- Provide frequent water breaks.
- No football gear should be worn during practice.
- Utilize shade whenever possible and shorten or modify practice activities.
- Closely monitor all athletes for any signs of heat-related illness..
Please follow all heat safety best practices and put player health ahead of everything else. There will be plenty of time to prepare for the season, but there is no practice more important than keeping our athletes safe.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our players healthy and safe.

NYS is proud to continue our partnership with the LVMPD Youth Engagement Team and the Raiders to help create more opportunities for youth in our community through the Football Equipment Rental Program!
This initiative is designed to reduce barriers to participation by providing access to Riddell SpeedFlex helmets and Riddell Power Surge shoulder pads while connecting young athletes with organized football opportunities, mentorship, life-skills development, and positive community support.
Through this partnership, we're committed to helping young people build confidence, develop leadership skills, and experience the many benefits that come from being part of a team.
