A month ago, a neighbor’s stupid accident took a part of our house on Easter Sunday. In the smoke and loss, I saw two things clearly: God kept us safe, and some of y'all showed up 😅
Thank You, God — for protecting us when nothing else could be saved. For peace when we needed it most, and for sending people who became Your hands and feet.
Fam/Friends/Fans — Your prayers, messages, and kindness reached me on the hardest nights.
Y'all reminded me that home is people, not walls.
You turned strangers into neighbors. You handled what we couldn’t and helped us find laughter again.
Thank you to Alameda County Fire Dept for your speedy response and handling swiftly!
We’re not “back to normal,” but we’re safe, healing, and rebuilding — because of Him and because of you.
Thank you for the grace, help, and hope. We’re getting through this together.
With love and gratitude,
Jay

Happy Lunar New Year! Year of the Fire Horse! Its been 16 years since I've done any lion dancing activities. Mainly due to my severely poor vision, I didn't trust myself performing without being able to see well.
Fast forward to a month ago, we were invited to check out lion dancing at a local martial arts school. We the ended up performing last weekend with the martial arts school for their choy chang event in Oakland Chinatown.
Choy chang is an activity where lion dance teams go store to store in a Chinatown or Asian community to bless their business for the new lunar new year, at weddings, and grand openings. Shops usually hang up a head of lettuce🥬 with a red envelope🧧 in it to challenge the lion dancer's skills. After retrieving said lettuce and red envelope, we havta tear that lettuce into a crazy salad and spit it out back out to the store or people being blessed. You're considered lucky if you get hit with a piece of 🥬 !
We spent 10 hours performing in one day. Festively sweaty, physically stressful, and fun is how I would describe lion dancing. I lost 3lbs by sweating it out through movement!
Shout out to my lion partner and the lion dance crew for making our Lunar New Year experience inclusive and exciting!

Happy National Archery Day!

Back in March, I shot at The Vegas Shoot in its new home that's on the Las Vegas Strip. I thought it was going to be an exciting new experience, but I was wrong. This year's venue WAS NOT accessibility friendly. We had the most difficult time trying to locate the shooting hall and the tradeshow (which previously wasn't too bad at the South Point). Signage pointing to the venue were very poor unless you could afford to stay at the Horseshoe or Paris hotels.
On a brighter note, it was awesome to reconnect with friends who had traveled from afar and make new acquaintances along the way. We thank our supporters, sponsors, archery club, and everyone who purchased one of our products for our bootstrap food startup! 😀

Now that tax day is over, I'm finally posting about this past weekend. and I had a fun time with our group at the 1 arrow shoot off hosted by Break the Barriers and the NFAA. Unlike previous years, I felt like this year was one of my bigger accomplishments as I managed to hit 10's and 12's throughout the course of the weekend (while also contributing some arrows to the grass gods 😅).
Thanks for hosting an awesome event!
Thank you to our host family, Blind Pig Archery, and sponsors for helping us to get all of our gear in order for the start of outdoor season!
And a special thanks to everyone who purchased one of our bone broth varietals! We appreciate you and your awesome feedback!

Life pulled the brakes on me back in August, and after months of recovery, im slowly settling into shooting again. But first, it's out with the old and in with the new stabilizers. Thanks & for always coming through to help me improve on my archery game! God Bless!

Here is a glimpse of what I can "see" when I'm tuning my archery gadgets. While I live in a very dimly lit world, I use the shiny reflective parts from bolts and screws to figure out how to best tune my bow, stabilizer, and sight. In this photo, I'm replacing my aluminum sight bar with a carbon sight bar while there are optical pieces strewn around it.
