It’s very CLEAR to me that the way forward as a bowler is to adapt to a thumbless technique. So if you’re young and wanting to be competitive the current game is certainly an advantage if you’re using a thumbless technique. Whether it’s using both hands or just one it is the direction the game has gone. Just my opinion 😊😊😊

Please notice the word I used “technique” because there is a difference between just whaling on it and knowing what you’re doing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Because I get the question about differentials and what it means, here’s a “basic understanding” of what it is. It sounds great but in reality it just means change of direction. It’s no more complicated than that 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It basically means that the core is “changing direction” towards the center of the lane on each revolution. Because the roll is going forward and the core is moving inward it creates an imbalance known as “flare”.
The bigger the differential number is the more the two directions are battling each other, creating bigger “gaps” in the oil lines on the balll.
You actually have a differential in your car’s transmission. That’s how we “change direction”
