Hall of Fame Game 2025 or Hall of Shame Game 2025
Tonight is the night when we can officially say Football is back. Let’s Go!
The real story is why do we have to have a Hall of Fame Game? The starters are not starting, Key backups may get a little work in, but this is all about the other 40 – to 50 players looking to make the squad. Each year every team loses players in the off season. The better teams, have most of their rosters filled and make fewer moves. There are even teams like Dallas, where Jerry Jones just wishes he had a good team.
Tonight is all about watching and not about betting. But we have 2 teams kicking off at 8:00 tonight and there is nothing like having a few bucks on the game. It does peak your interest, when your in action, before the kick off.
We know Detroit is playing Not to get hurt. LA doesn’t need the win, but the HC just seems to win more than he loses. Let’s take that + 1 ½ and go with the Chargers to get a win in this low scoring game.

Super Bowl Time
We’re down to 2 teams, 1 winner and a giant steak dinner. The stage is set for this Sunday to see which team gets to wear that ring.
The Eagles can win because,
1. Hit harder
2. Have a better defense
3. Have the best running back in the NFL.
4. Their roster is deeper than the Chiefs.
5. The Eagles have better receivers and,
6. tomorrow is Saquon Barkleys birthday.
The Chiefs can win because,
1. They have the better Head coach and coaches.
2. The Better QB.
3. The better kicking game
4. You have Andy off a bye.
5. Better defense perhaps!
6. They won the last 2 Super Bowls.
7. They make less mistakes.
Both teams are not perfect either. The Eagles have a better offense, and the Chiefs have a better defense. Either way it’s a great game to have a bet on. Not a big one, but one large enough to keep your interest.
The game boils down to the QBs. Who will have more time to throw the ball? We are going with KC for 2 reasons. Andy has had 2 weeks to prepare, and they have won the last 2 Super Bowls.

Hall of Fame Game
The Steelers are playing the Cowboys and the 2 choices are to play Dallas or don’t play at all. In the last 10 years, the Cowboys are 3 – 0 in the Hall of Fame game. Jerry Jones is obsessed with winning. He wants his Cowboys to have a winning attitude since he purchased them. In Dallas the HC is told to win. Jerry loves to see his team get that national coverage and show off his team.
For the last few seasons, we have seen the Steelers HC, Mike Tomlin, rest his starting players the last week of the season. He loves an extra week off to get them ready for the playoffs. We see no reason to play them here. Covid is on the raise, they have 3 more games in this preseason. Tomlin is a conservative coach. No one tells him what to do. Big Ben will watch the game from here.
We know the Cowboys are playing the Steelers and each team has 90 players. Mike McCarthy will be working harder than most of his players. Pittsburgh is favored by 1 ½.
A nice taste of coming attractions for the 2021 season.

From July 19: Rookie QBs on bad teams = Big Profit
The past 4 seasons, we have waited for the right match ups and have had huge success in betting against them.
Most Rookie QBs are just not ready to make that jump into the NFL. Many of them decide to skip their senior year at college to enter the draft. College teams are full of teenagers and young men still growing up as a men and players. The NFL players and faster, bigger and more intelligent. Perhaps playing more in school could get them better prepared on all levels to lead a team in the NFL.
In 2018, Baker Mayfield, Sam Donald, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen were all drafted at QB.
In 2019, Kyler Murray, Drew Lock, Dwayne Haskins, Daniel Jones and Jarrett Stidman were drafted.
In 2020, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa were welcomed in.
This year there were 5 more QBs chosen in the draft. Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, and Mac Jones.
They all have one thing in common.
They all make rookie mistakes. These are college QBs, now trying to make it in the NFL. We have done exceptionally well, watching and waiting on rookie QBs. Last year we watched Ryan Fitzpatrick bail out Tua Tagovailoa throughout his rookie season in Miami.
The final game of the season was in Buffalo and the Bills had to win to keep pace with KC and try to become the # 1 seed in the playoffs. Fitzpatrick tested positive for Covid and not playing. It was Tua vs the Bills in Buffalo in January. Tua never had a chance. He went 35 – 58 with 3 Int in the game. The final score was 56- 26. We posted this game on January 1, 2021, under the title, "Happy New Cash Year."
Rookie QBs on bad teams give us a huge advantage. The key is to know when to jump in.

From July 11: Quarterbacks that we trust to win
The list is short. We trust 5 players in the entire NFL.
1.Tom Brady. What do we know? Everything. But let us stick to the facts.
In 2018 he was 11 – 5 for the season.
The following year, 2019 was another monster year at 12 – 4.
In 2020 with a new team, after no preseason, no practice, Covid, and getting the team in synch after week 12, finished the regular season at 11 – 5.
Tom Brady wins, and we trust him with our money. He was 34 – 14 the last 3 seasons.
2. Lamar Jackson came into the league 2018 replacing Flacco.
In 2018 as a starter, he finished 6 – 1.
His 2nd year was even better. He finished 2019 with a winning record of 14 – 2.
Last year, the Ravens were the most infected team throughout the season. Including Lamar, they lost 30 starters including Lamar for 1 game. The team went 11 – 5. Lamar Jackson went 11 – 4. As a side note, we should say the 4 losses were to KC, Pittsburgh by 4, Tennessee in OT by 6, and New England by 6.
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens know how to win games. Lamar has been phenomenal his first 3 years. His regular season record is 31 – 7 the last 3 years. We trust him on Sundays $$$.
3. Aaron Rogers is certainly a QB we trust, especially this year. At 37 he is on top of his game and shows it. He broke his collar bone in 2017 after starting the season 4 – 1. The team without him finished up at 7 – 9. In 2018 we watched Green Bay open the season with a 24 -23 win in Chicago with Trubisky at QB. The following week in their season opener at home they played to a 29 – 29 ties against the Vikings. Both teams looked awful on defense at times. We decided to watched week 3 in Washington, where they lost 31 – 17. The rest of the season you could see all the problems they had on defense. This spilled over to the offence and the firing of Mike McCarthy. We can throw this season into the dumpster.
The last 2 seasons Aaron Rogers defines the word, magnificent. With a new Head Coach, he is Arron once again with two 13 and 3 seasons. A new head coach and a happy QB equal a winning team and money in the back.
4. Russell Wilson is as solid as they come. In 2018 he was 10 – 6 with 35 TDs. In 2019 he went one better and finished 11 – 5. He also signed a $140 million dollar contract and threw for 4110 yards. Last year in the world of COVID19, he took another step up to 12 - 4. The last 3 years have been without the Legion of Boom in Seattle. The Seahawks play as a team and win. Going 33 – 15 is no accident. There were games in the last 3 seasons they could have won.
Russell Wilson has our trust, he wins.
5. Patrick Mahomes is frosting on the cake. He wins. He finds a way to move the ball. His record for the last 3 seasons, which includes his rookie season is 37 – 8. He wins games. Last year the team won, but they lacked that killer instinct. We look for them to start strong.
The teams that win consistently all have great QBs. These 5 men are that. You can win more games betting a proven winner.
We love a game in week 1.

2021 Pre-Season Analysis: Fly Eagles Fly
The name alone suggests that the Eagles fly high. They soar, roar and used to score touchdowns. As the latter comment states, the Eagles of the past are not the Eagles of today. 2021 is Philadelphia’s year of rebuilding. However, given the work done here at PFWW, we see it another way. This is the year to keep a close eye on them for a potential huge payday.
In the NFC East, the Giants, Cowboys and the no name team in Washington are overall better this season. The Eagles start their 2021 season in Atlanta against the Falcons who are presently favored by 4. We do not expect them to win, but it may be close. Our eyes will be on this very ordinary but huge Week 1 game for Philadelphia. They have to win or else!
The following game for Week 2 finds the Eagles home against the 49ers who started their season the week prior in Detroit. We expect the Eagles to be at 0 – 2. We now enter the Jerry Maguire ( “Show me the money!”) phase of the 2021 Philadelphia Eagle season.
Philadelphia’s schedule has them playing 4 games over a 17 day period. They could very well end up going 0 – 6.
Week 3, Monday night September 27th: the Eagles go up against the Cowboys in Dallas.
Week 4, Sunday, October 3rd: Philadelphia plays KC on their home turf at Lincoln Financial Field.
Week 5, Sunday, October 10th: the Eagles will be in North Carolina to play the Panthers.
Week 6 is a short week, as Philadelphia flies home to play Thursday Night Football against Tampa Bay. This week alone provides a wear-and-tear variable that goes against the Eagles. Personally, we believe TB 12 will also be looking for a little payback from the 2018 Super Bowl.
Admittedly, there are a few mismatches in the Eagles first 6 games. Even still, Philadelphia has to play 4 games in 17 days against much better teams is bound to take their toll on them and give us an edge.

It’s Tua’s time in Miami… Not yet!
We were not impressed with Miami’s new QB. The Dolphins were 3 – 3 and shutting out the Jets 20 – 0 in the 4th Quarter in Week 6, when Tua came in for his first game and went 2 for 2 and 9 yards.
Week 7 was a bye, with the Dolphins at home getting ready for the L.A. Rams.
In Week 8, Miami beat the Rams 28 – 17. We watched this game and saw L.A.’s QB Jared Goff throw an int. in the first quarter on his own 27 and Miami scored 7. In the second quarter, the Rams fumbled, which allowed Miami to run the ball back 82 yards for a score. Miami then held and returned a punt 87 yards for 7 more. Poor Goff finished out the first half that resulted in an additional 7 to make it a 28 to 10 half time lead for Miami. Tua finished the game 12 for 22 with 93 yards and a fumble.
Week 9 turned out to be a good match up in Arizona, with the boys in blue getting the win 34 – 31 to go to 6 – 3 for the year.
Week 10 saw the Dolphins win at home against the 2 – 7 Chargers by a score of 29 - 21. Tua was 15 – 25 with 169 yards in the air and 2 TDs.
Week 11: he got benched in the 4th quarter in Denver down 20 – 10 for Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Week 12: He was out with a jammed thumb.
Week 13: Tua was back in and beat the 2- 9 and 1 Cincinnati Bengals 19 – 7.
Week 14: KC was in Miami and the game was never in doubt, despite Mahomes throwing 3 rare interceptions. Miami could not run and managed to grind out a meager 80 yards in which Tua had 24 of them. The final score was 33 – 27 but the game was far from close.
Week 15: The Dolphins played at home against the 6 – 8 Patriots. Miami had an easy time with NE, running for 250 yards to win 22 – 12.
Week 16: The Dolphins were in Vegas to play the Raiders and once again Tua was benched with over 8 minutes to play. The Fins came back to win the game 26 – 15.
Week 17: Ryan Fitzpatrick was out of the game due to a positive result on a Covid test and the Dolphins were playing in Buffalo. The Bills needed the win to secure home field game in the Playoffs. The final score was 56 – 26 and, coincidentally, this was one of our biggest picks of the year.
As we look back on Tua Tagovailoa’s first season with the Dolphins, we are going to call it a D+ to C- year. The team played very well on defense, however Tua was benched against the Broncos, the Raiders and thoroughly beat by both the Chiefs and Bills down the stretch.
The other 4 games he was in were, at best, average. He won against the Rams who had -28 points in 4 amazing turnovers. The win against the 2 – 7 Chargers was not as close as the score indicates. The Bengal game saw Tua complete 26 out of 39 passes, with Miami’s defense shutting the Bengals down. The only score by Cincinnati was in the 1st quarter on a 72 yard pass. The Patriot game was a chess match between Belichick and Brian Flores. Miami won out as the Patriots could not stop the run and force Tua to throw. Tua was 20 for 26 and 145 yards.
To us he is still a rookie QB with little experience. In college, he was a first year back up. He played well in his 2nd and 3rd year but accumulated 3 sprained ankles and a broken hip. His senior year never happened, as he entered the Draft and Miami took the bait. Let’s see some more from Tua before we jump up and sing “Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins Number One!"

The Best of the Best Down the Stretch in 2020
Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, there were six teams that were on fire, the last 5 weeks of the season. We’re going to focus on these these teams, tracking their end of the season records. The Best of the Best Down the Stretch in 2020 are, in no particular order, the following teams:
Green Bay finished the season 5 – 0, with an overall home record of 7 – 1. They were consistent in the ex*****on of their plays and, as a result, we cashed in. Finishing the year 13 – 3, we knew we could count on them. They should be just as good or better in the coming season.
Seattle finished their last 5 games 4 – 1 and, just as Green Bay ended their season, the Seahawks were 7 – 1 at home. This contributed to a 12 – 4 record at the end of the regular season. In 2021, the Seahawks get a new offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron. Given his prior experiences with the Rams and having been in the Super Bowl, we like this move in furthering Seattle’s growth as a team on the field and at the sportsbook.
Tampa Bay, the only home team to win the Super Bowl, wrapped their last 5 regular games at 4 – 1 with that one loss to Kansas City in week 12. They ended the year 5 – 3 at home. The Bucs spent ¾ of this pandemic season finding their continuity and learning how to execute with their superior skills. This journey led them to making Super Bowl history and, we predict, this will carry them into a stronger 2021.
Indianapolis is an awesome team, finishing their last 5 games at 4 – 1. At home in the Dome, they continued to be a solid 6 – 2 with Philip Rivers at QB. We will be writing a future post on the Colts post-draft. We believe they’ll be ready to rock ’n’ roll in 2021, with a super running game, we see them as a team who will start the season as a top team to beat.
Buffalo was a welcome powerhouse in 2020. They were a perfect 5 – 0 during the last 5 weeks of the season and ended the year 7 – 1 at home. Everyone talks about Josh Allen, Stephen Diggs and the Buffalo linebackers. For us at PFWW, it’s Cole Beasley who is Allen’s 2nd and 3rd read and always open. He caught 82 passes last year, leading us to believe he will have close to 100 receptions this year.
Kansas City and Mahomes followed up their Super Bowl win in 2019 with a great 2020. The team continued to play well as a cohesive unit, going 4 – 1 down the stretch. At home, they were 7 -1 and got into the big dance with their 14 – 2 overall record. As a side note, though, the Chiefs had times when they noticeably played down to their opponent and were more than happy to turn it up for a win. Even though they made back-to-back appearances at the Super Bowl, KC’s hunger wasn’t always there.
These six teams overcame COVID-19 protocols, injuries, no preseason, and playing in front of cardboard fans to thrill us in 2020. This year, the fans will be back, and home field will once again matter. They all have excellent GMs, head coaches, and good personnel which calculates into one glaring fact.
We can trust these teams early in the season. These are your teams to watch, wager and win with during Weeks 1 and 2 of 2021.

We love 5 bad teams.
The season is 5 months away and the regular season schedule is coming soon. The NFL season is now 17 games. Before we start on 2021, let us look at the 5 worst teams of 2020.
Atlanta finished the season at 4 – 12 and hired a new Head Coach. His name is Arthur smith. He has his work cut out for him. The team was awful and finished 0 – 5 last year. This is clearly a team that never ever woke him after giving up a 28 to 3 lead in the Super Bowl LI. They are a hard team to watch, but an excellent team to bet against.
The Philadelphia Eagles were anything but eagles. They are still celebrating their win in Super Bowl LII. The coach has been fired, both QBs are gone and limped home 1 – 4 the last 5 games. The team finished at 4 – 11- 1.
Next up are the Detroit Lions. The team needs a real do over. They have a new Head Coach and QB. The down grade from Matthew Stafford to Jared Goff is going to hurt. The Lions were 1 – 4 down the stretch and 5 – 11 for the year.
The Jacksonville Jaguars went 1 – 15 last year. They won their first game and lost the last 15. We cashed in with our pick of under 4 ½ total wins for the year. They fired the head coach and have the number 1 over all pick in the up coming NFL draft.
Our last team on our list of losers are the Houston Texans. This is a team with no direction and poor leadership. Their QB has a big legal battle in front of him, and the team is a mess. They finished the year at 4 – 12 and lost their last 5 games.
It will take more than one off season to turn these 5 teams around. We are 4 months away from the Hall of Fame Game and the value here will be in betting against them early in the season. Up next will be the 2021 schedule, and draft.
Sometimes it is easier to find a loser than a winner. They both pay the same.
We were 70% against the line last year. Some services claim it, we prove it in all our postings here.
