2024 Police Softball Word Series Recap

Stanislaus Combo started off 1-2 in pool play facing two tough Majors teams. Our only win on Day 1 was a bye due to South Florida being unable to make it. Day 2 had only one game as we had another bye due to teams not making it to the World Series. We faced Houston Heat, beating them with an impressive run rule to stay on top of the playoff bracket.

Day 3 was a long road through the loser’s bracket after losing our first game of the day. We worked our way through the loser’s bracket and made it to the semi finals to face a very talented Miami 5-0. Stanislaus took a 3-run lead in the 7th inning and unfortunately got walked off, losing 25-24 to finish in 3rd Place in the Mid-Majors Division.

Stanislaus Combo is headed to the 2024 World Series in Las Vegas with game play Friday-Sunday this year. Below is the posted schedule with a bye for our first game tomorrow morning at 7am due to the hurricanes in Florida. Games should be live streamed here if you’re interesting in watching.

***UPDATED*** Despite fighting a valiant fight, our hero and brother in blue, Cesar Echaverry, has passed away and is now standing guard at the Pearly Gates. God Speed 🙏🙏🙏

Last night, while working on the elite Robbery Investigation Team, Miami Five-0 player Detective Cesar Echaverry was shot in the head and critically wounded while attempting to apprehend a robbery suspect. Cesar is currently in the hospital clinging to life. Please send your thoughts and prayers to Cesar, his family, the Miami Dade Police Department, and the Miami Five-0 Police Softball Team.

West Coast Conference 2022

Stanislaus Combo started off with a win over Aftermath in game 1. We fell short in extra innings with our first loss to Angel Armour before losing our third pool play game to a solid State 48 team.

In our first playoff game, Stanislaus fell short after coming out with a big lead and lost to 172 Combo. On Day 2, we faced RSO Force for our second playoff game with yet another tough loss finishing with a 1-4 record on the weekend.

Reno/Sparks 8th Annual Desert Shootout 2022

Stanislaus Combo started off with two strong, high scoring games on the first day of the tournament with a 2-0 record in pool play.
The wind picked up earlier than expected and made things interesting against DEA Combo in our first playoff game with a tough loss.

Day two ended a lot earlier than we hoped with a loss to LA Combo. Overall, our first big tournament with a full team and we unfortunately fell short with a 2-2 record on the weekend.

A little batting practice to prep for Reno this weekend! Looking forward to our first out of town tournament of the year!

The Stanislaus Combo Softball team would like to congratulate Scott Block and K-9 Merlin for completing their certification course. This duo has already hit the streets and made multiple arrests.

Scott already has Merlin’s dog leash packed into his softball bag. You never know when you need it. . Jeff Blair better bring some dog treats to San Diego for Merlin.

All joking aside, Congrats Scott and Merlin. Stay safe. We are all proud of you for achieving your goal. You worked your butt off for it. I’m proud to work the streets together and have already seen you guys work well!!!
