Blake Monroe is a PRCA photographer from the small town of Graysville, Indiana. For the past three years, he has traveled across the country capturing the grit, tradition, and moments that make rodeo special.

Before stepping behind the camera, Blake competed as a steer wrestler, and photography became a way to stay connected to the rodeo lifestyle and community he’s always loved. Raised in southern Indiana where life moves a little slower and a handshake still means something, he carries those same values everywhere he goes.

Through Wild Rodeo Photography, Blake focuses on telling authentic stories and preserving the western way of life one rodeo at a time.

A native of Belgrade, Montana, Kolby Ruff got interested in fighting bulls, growing up around Al Sandvold. Sandvold fought bulls for 20 plus years, was a Montana Circuit Finals Bullfighter multiple times and qualified for the Wrangler Bullfights in 2000. Sandvold is now a barber in Belgrade, and while cutting Ruff’s hair, convinced him to try bullfighting at his school in North Dakota with Nate Jestes. Ruff is a member of the PRCA and has fought bulls for PRCA sanctioned rodeos and the PBR for 3 years. In that time, he’s worked rodeos all across the country - Rodeo Rapid City, the historic Cowtown Coliseum Rodeo in Fort Worth, TX, Livingston’s 4th of July Rodeo, and the Bozeman Stampede. He’s also qualified for the Bullfighters Only World Finals twice, in 2022 and 2023. Following in his mentor’s footsteps Ruff was picked to be a bullfighter at the 2025 Montana Circuit Finals.

We are grateful to have the best of the best on our team at Rodeo Billings! Sparky is the owner of J Bar J. He’s the primary stock contractor for Rodeo Billings!

The funny thing about Mark “Sparky” Dreesen is that his future was probably decided the moment he watched The Great American Cowboy.
Growing up on a small ranch where his father traded horses, Sparky was already surrounded by cowboy life. But after seeing that movie as a kid, he knew exactly what he wanted: Rodeo.
He started young, got on ba****ck horses for years, and eventually built a life around the sport alongside his wife Marlene. Then came the opportunity that changed everything.
After purchasing his first string of bucking mares from legendary horseman Harlan Gunville, Dreesen’s path eventually crossed with Jim and Maggie Zinser, founders of the iconic J Bar J Rodeo Company. And one conversation at the 2007 National Finals Rodeo changed his life forever.
“Jim told me, ‘Sparky, I’m going to sell you J Bar J, so you better figure out how to pay for it.’” A year later, the deal became reality.
Today, Sparky Dreesen stands among the PRCA’s top stock contractors, hauling some of rodeo’s finest bucking stock across America while carrying on one of the sport’s most respected brands.
And like most cowboys who truly love what they do, he’ll tell you it’s still a lot of work. But it’s the kind of work worth dedicating your life to.
