Happy Birthday to my Sensei Uechi.

Heading home after a great trip. Kuba Sensei worked on my shoulder and went over Seiunchin bunkai and oyo in his acupuncture clinic with me. Kuba Sensei had helped me when I was here in the 90's understand Seiunchin from the Goju-ryu way. Hisako, and the ladies at the Crown Hotel were great. Always looking out for me. Looking forward to seeing them next year

Well one day left on Okinawa. Trained with Sensei, and then a little party with Sensei, Uehara, Fukuhara and Katzui. I can't believe this trip is over so fast. Good little training session with Kuba Sensei. Even after almost 35 years with Sensei Uechi, the learning never stops. It's great to be just a student and getting Sensei to tune up my kata and other techniques. Looking forward to next year's trip already.

The Banyan trees on Okinawa are hundreds of years old. I spent many training hours under the shade of these trees around Kadena and other areas. Great memories of living and training on Okinawa.

I always stay at the Crown Hotel when I visit Okinawa. Not fancy, but clean and the folks working there are like family.

Kadena AB is always changing and it was great being stationed there from 92-99. Best assignment my wife and I had during our Air Force careers.

Had a fun night with Sensei Ron Nix Akemi Nix Brandon Nix and thier students working knife defense basics. Always a great time working with them. Looking forward to seeing them again next April.
