⚡🥊 We call this one “The Electric Chair.”

Start seated in the chair, then explode up while throwing specific combinations. It looks simple, but it forces your legs, core, and punches to work together as one unit.

The goal is to develop better alignment and learn to transfer force from the ground up through your punches — while also challenging your leg strength, explosiveness, and endurance.

Don’t just train your arms to punch. Build the entire chain that creates the punch.

Add this one to your next boxing workout and keep getting 1% better every day. 🥊⚡

🥊 Your boxing conditioning is only as strong as the legs underneath you.

In this reel, I’m breaking down some excellent leg exercises for boxers designed to improve strength, explosiveness, endurance, and overall conditioning.

Your legs are working every second you’re boxing — moving in and out, changing angles, sitting down on punches, defending, maintaining balance, and keeping your technique together when you’re tired.

Strong, conditioned legs help you move better, punch harder, stay balanced, and maintain your boxing deeper into the rounds.

Don’t just condition your hands and lungs. Build the engine underneath you. 🥊

Keep putting in the work and get 1% better every day.

Think about the concept behind Bruce Lee’s famous short-range punch — generating force from extremely close distance.

That same concept is incredibly important in boxing, especially when you’re fighting on the inside. When there’s only a few inches between you and your opponent, you don’t have room to wind up or fully extend your punches.

You have to learn to generate power with short, compact punches — using your legs, hips, rotation, positioning, and proper mechanics instead of loading up.

Hooks. Uppercuts. Short straight shots.

Inside fighting is a different game. Learn how to create damage when there’s almost no space at all.

Get 1% better every day. 🥊

There’s one thing all of our coaches & members love — mitt work. 🥊

And if you ask our members, they’ll tell you the same thing: mitts are one of their favorite parts of our classes.

At Soto Boxing, we believe mitt work is one of the best ways to actually teach boxing — working on combinations, defense, counters, timing, movement, angles, and putting everything together in real time.

That’s also why we keep our coach-to-student ratio small. We want every member getting real, hands-on coaching and mitt work, not just showing up and hitting a heavy bag for an hour.

Come experience the difference. 🥊

The jab is often called the most important punch in boxing — so learning how to defend and counter it should be one of the most important things you train. 🥊

But countering the jab is only half the job.

After you make them miss and fire your counter, you need to finish in a position where they can’t easily counter you back. That might mean changing your angle, getting off the center line, controlling distance, rolling, stepping out, or smothering their return.

Defend → Counter → Reposition.

Don’t just train to land your shot. Train to land without giving one back.

Keep learning. Keep sharpening the details. Get 1% better every day.
