Greetings and salutations! Another week here on Arrakis. Today we had some fun with kubaton practice. I demonstrated a few easy techniques with them. Since we have new students with us, we reviewed hammer fist and then turned it into a one on one drill. The more advanced students voted for weapons training next week so we'll see how that goes. Greetings and salutations! We are back for the start of the summer sessions. I should have expected to gain more students at the start of summer break but I was still surprised. Well, for the first time in a while I'll need to divide the class into advanced and beginners. Plans are forming. 😈

Greetings and salutations! Yesterday was the last class of the session and we'll be off next week for memorial day. Yesterday we did half of the class inside and half outside. Sandbag carries gets 'em every time. Train hard fam, peace.

Greetings and salutations. I can tell the weather change is hitting. The rec center was fairly empty today. The heat has returned. Since I only had one student today I figured we'd have an easy day and just work some gongfu yoga. We'll see how things go as the 100° days continue. Train hard fam, peace.

Greetings and salutations! It's our first week over 100° here so I played it safe and we trained inside today. We did a mix of my equipment and some of the items available to build out a nice circuit routine. Since it's near the end of the school year for us and the kids are getting ready for their finals, I figured we'd do something fun and easy to follow. There's a few more weeks of conditioning left before we get back to learning skills

Greetings and salutations! I decided to do a conditioning session outside today. I recently got a new battle rope and wanted to break it in. We've been doing conditioning the last couple of weeks since we lost access to the crash pad. Anyway, adapt and overcome. Train hard fam, peace.

Greetings and salutations! We're back from spring break and we pulled the mats out for some tumbling. Some gave "extra effort," (IYKYK). Today was an easy day overall. A review from the last few weeks and the tumbling. Over the next couple of weeks we be gearing up for some more intense training before it gets too hot. It's already in the 90s° here. Greetings and salutations! Back at the Pearson center. Someone had a special day so we celebrated by doing nothing but conditioning today. As my teacher would say, we generated some good qi. We still need to work on flexibility but the strength has definitely improved. Until next time, train hard fam. Peace!

Greetings and salutations! We're back. I was sick. Now I'm not. The class had some fun today learning how to do a double leg takedown. Thankfully we have a crash pad, so I was able to let them go for it a little. After that I showed a counter to the double leg with the double wrist lock (Kimura). For a treat I showed one of my favorite cross face entries. We're back on track so let's get it in. Train hard fam, peace.
