I've answered several questions in the comments of original post. If you want to know more about us ... read our informative website 🐎
Happy for this shout-out, but the article does have a couple of errors ( I was astonished to see BlackJack's name. He was my heart horse & lived retired for 3 years - before he was laid to rest 1½ years ago at 28 😓).
Here are some quick important facts.
☆ Please note that we're an Adult Adventure Activity - taking & teaching adults 18+ with as little as zero experience (as long as you can be calm & confident), & 14 - 17 older teens with enough prior experience!
* Rides into the Forest - with beautiful rugged trails, & HH rock formations!
* Only 1 ride goes out at a time with 1 or 2 Wranglers, & Horses get breaks between rides to eat, drink, & rest!
* We have trotting Draft Horses & gaited Tennessee Walking Horses!
* Current weight limit is 250 lbs (no exceptions right now), & that's only on a couple of our largest Horses! In the past (& hopefully future), it's been higher. (Our beloved big black Percheron "Powerstroke" was 27 when we laid him to rest in April 😓).
◆The Reality Check ✔️ Tho we do have a few very quiet, reliable horses - NOT ALL 10 ARE❗️Some are just not for Nervous/Fearful Novice riders, & some are still in training - ridden only by the Wranglers &/or other Uber experienced riders.
* We DO NOT take large groups or little kids - like the typical tourism stable does = a nice quiet place!
* Max group size is 4 per tour!
* No-one under 14 yrs old!
★ We're often booked full well in advance (a max of 12 riders - a day)!
* By Appointment ONLY !
* No walk-ins - No drive-ins❗️
* Cash USD only - No Cards, Apps, or form of Digital Payment accepted.
I'm 55 now, & been open 25 years! 🤠
& we're a busy LITTLE riding stable, with LOTS of return riders❣️

Nervous about horses? A little Hocking Hills stable puts first-timers on calm, well-trained horses for a wooded Ohio trail ride.
