University of Kansas Waterski Team Official page for the University of Kansas Waterski Team! Everyone is welcome!

The University of Kansas Water Ski Team is a way for both Recreational and Tournament level skiers to ski while they are here at college. We have members spanning the whole range, from beginners to seasoned tournament skiers. Whether you are preparing for a tournament or just want to get out on the water, practice times are arranged at the individuals and boat drivers’ convenience. Our practice site is Crown Ski Lake, a ten minute drive from campus, where we have a slalom course, jump, ski boat, and any equipment you may need! During season we attend tournaments throughout the midwest as well as host our own in the spring. Tournaments are for people who wish to compete as well as those who just want to have a good time and make new friends with members of other Midwest ski teams.

A very special thank you to our founders, Jac and Marylin Downes for coming out to see us, as well as Bryan Adriance for giving them the warm welcome that they deserved! It was a pleasure meeting the Downes’ as they have created the incredible community that you see pictured with us today! -more to come later on the incredible history of this team!

She is a calming energy and a true gift to the team. Grace is kind and, just like her name, she carries herself with grace.
