I'll bring the stickers. This weekend in Lawrence is the State Championship. Come watch and support!

Field of Dreams: The inside story of Kansas's grass velodrome At first glance, the Lawrence Velodrome in Lawrence, Kansas is little more than a grassy track in a field. But the innovative model could hold the key for cycling development in rural communities.

Cycling friends, Track racing has a long history in our area. We've kept the fire lit at the Lawrence Grass Velodrome. But we're asking for some support to keep this unique form of racing viable. Our biggest yearly expense is the cost of USAC insurance and officials for the Kansas State Track Championship. We have wonderful sponsors that donate 'in kind' services: use of venue, mowing, prep, race day supplies including shelter. But our USAC expenses each year are growing to near $600 for the event. This is where you can help. Donate $20. We'll give you a fun sticker designating you a "Supporter of the Lawerence Grass Velodrome." Join us for the FREE after party on July 28th, 2025.
