Zumba Saturday morning class from 8:30-9:20 am at the Sports Pavilion, 100 Rock Chalk Lane, Lawrence KS. I am a licensed Zumba Fitness instructor with Lawrence Parks and Recreation. In addition to basic Zumba, I am licensed to teach specialty classes, including Zumba Gold, a low impact Zumba class for persons of any age who may need a slower paced, low impact workout and Zumba Toning, which includes the use of weighted toning sticks to further tone and sculpt the body. I also offer Zumba demonstrations and parties for groups or businesses, including child and adult birthday parties, girl scout badge workshops, day camps, community and corporate events. I am committed to giving back to our community and regularly organize and participate in Zumbathon fundraisers for charities. In addition to teaching Zumba Fitness classes, I am a master’s level social worker and attorney. I work as a Volunteer Advocate Coordinator at Douglas County CASA, a local nonprofit where I train and assist court appointed volunteers in advocating for the best interests of children in the foster care system.
