The Buck Master himself — Jackie Bushman!

Jackie came to Kentucky for his first-ever Kentucky buck and his first velvet buck, and he certainly made it count!

Sharing camp with Jackie made for a great week, plenty of stories, and an even better time in camp. And on the 3rd set, it all came together when Jackie put his tag on a beautiful velvet Kentucky whitetail.

Season prep is in full swing here at Salt River Outfitters!
Today we’re hanging more Cabela’s trail cameras and freshening up our sites with Buck Bourbon On The Rocks mineral. Antler growth is coming along nicely here in Kentucky, and it’s exciting to watch these bucks develop week after week.

This Spring season was one for the books. From incredible hunts and unforgettable memories to new friendships made around camp, we couldn’t have asked for a better season.
A huge thank you to all of our clients who joined us this year. Your trust, support, and passion for the outdoors are what make these experiences so special.
We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2027 season. Until then, thank you for being part of another incredible year.

The Salt River family lost a good one today. Our dear Friend Mike Stroup gained his wings. We will forever cherish all the time spent in camp with Mike. Over the years he has become much more than a client for us. We have grown to love Mike like a brother here at SRO.
I remember several years back Mike shot a really nice buck,when we found it he preceded to tell us how he had been diagnosed with cancer and wasn’t sure how many more hunts he had in him. It was the most emotional deer recovery I have ever been a part of. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to recover several more deer after that night with Mike.
Thank you for all the memories Mike Love you buddy from all of us here at SRO.
