To all my martial arts friends:

I am pleased to announce the inception of MATTI-Texas, Modern Arnis Tapi-Tapi International, Texas Chapter.

Modern Arnis was created by Professor Remy Amador Presas (12/19/1936 – 8/28/2001). Born in the Philippines, he moved to the United States in 1974, where he taught his art via seminars and camps to thousands of people. His teaching influenced many different styles of martial arts in the world, Modern Arnis is being called the Art within your Art.

Tapi-Tapi is considered the heart of Modern Arnis, which means, “counter for counter”.

Modern Arnis Tapi-Tapi International is an organization headed by Grandmaster Bambit Dulay from the Philippines. Its goal is to spread and preserve the Art of Modern Arnis to the world.

Over the years, the following chapters are created:
MATTI-Headquarter – Grandmaster Bambit Dulay
MATTI-San Juan – Master Man Uel
MATTI-PPC/Palawan – Jenny Renelynne Jacinto
MATTI-Dubai – Grandmaster Ginalyn Jadia
MATTI-Illinois – Grandmaster Rodolpho Poblacion
MATTI-Canada – Guru Jason Bassels
MATTI-Korea – Guru Hosun You
And now MATT-Texas – Master Ed Kwan

Together, we will continue to spread the art of Professor Remy Presas.

1st Modern Arnis World Seminar

The DAV's first online course for its 35th anniversary was very successful. We have therefore already organized the next online course for you.
The 1st Modern Arnis World Online Seminar will take place on March 13th, 2021. Datu Dieter Knüttel contacted female instructors from all over the world. We are very pleased that 14 female instructors from Asia, America and Europe have accepted and will teach. This seminar will again be free of charge!
