Happy First day of school kid…time to set some more records this year…far from done…
🚨 HISTORY FOR LIBERTY HILL WRESTLING 🚨
Alyciana Rogers is now a TWO-TIME Fargo All-American — the first in Liberty Hill High School history to pull that off.
The rising senior went 4-1 at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in North Dakota, bumping up to 235 pounds and taking runner-up honors after getting pinned in the finals by Indiana's Aubrey Bartkowiak (a Point Park University signee). Along the way she tech-falled her way through the bracket, grinded out a 4-1 win in the round of 16, and pinned her way into the finals.
This comes off the heels of a state title season, Rogers went 39-2 and won the 5A 235-pound championship for the Panthers.
Head coach Danny Zieschang says it best: for a program only three years old, having Rogers hit milestone after milestone is huge for showing the rest of the room what's possible.
Started wrestling as a freshman after years as a softball player. Now she's one of the best in the country. 👏
