Grief isn't always about death.

It can arrive after a diagnosis. After a relationship that ended without ending. After the version of your life you were quietly building for years, that isn't going to be. After experiences that were never fully acknowledged as losses at all.

This eight-week circle makes room for all of it.

Grief in Community
▸▸ Thursdays, October 1 through November 19
▸▸ 6:30 to 8:00 PM
▸▸ Small group, 8 to 10 participants
▸▸ Co-facilitated by Aimee Huffman (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT) and Jenelle Landgraf (MSW, LICSW)

Each session combines grounding and mindfulness practices, nervous system awareness, gentle movement and breath, guided reflection, and shared conversation. Rather than trying to fix grief or move it along, we make room to be with it, together.

Registration includes a fifteen-minute welcome call with your facilitators. Grief is tender work, and we want to know you a little before you arrive.

Sliding scale $400 to $620. Scholarships available.

The fall schedule is live. 🍂

More classes on the daily rotation. New workshops on the calendar. New teachers joining us, beloved teachers back on the mat, and the steady team that anchors us week after week.

This season invites us to ground down while shifting into new rhythms, and the schedule is built around exactly that. Days you want to sweat. Evenings you just need to breathe. Moments you want to dive deeper.

There's a space here for you. More ways in. More chances to find exactly what you need on any given day.

If something is calling to you, register in advance. It helps our teachers prepare, and it holds a mat for you.

A small thing that goes a long way.

Alpine Yoga Leavenworth is a drop-off location for the Upper Valley MEND Feminine Hygiene Product Drive through September 19. If you're already stopping in for class, grab a box of pads, tampons, or liners on your way and drop it in the bin by the front door.

Every donation supports women and girls in our valley who need consistent access to these basics.

Items needed:
▸▸ Pads
▸▸ Tampons
▸▸ Liners
▸▸ Menstrual cups and discs
▸▸ Adult diapers (L and XL)

Donations benefit Upper Valley MEND and girls at Cascade School District.

The drive wraps with a donation event at Safeway on Saturday, September 19, from 10 AM to 1 PM. You can grab items right there and drop them at the table on your way out.

Can't make it to the studio? Donate online at uvmend.org/donate (Venmo option available).

Thanks for taking care of our neighbors. 💖

Curious about Wild Radiance? Jenna and Aimee sat down for a full Q&A.

They talk about what the eight days at Brave Earth actually look like. Who this is for and who it's not. What "held" really means. Why this one isn't a vacation. And what Aimee calls a deep radical return home.

If you've been circling something for a while, this is the video to watch first.

Wild Radiance
▸▸ February 12–19, 2027
▸▸ Brave Earth, Costa Rica
▸▸ Women's retreat with Jenna McDonald & Aimee Huffman
▸▸ From $999/month

How does your back feel?

We have good news for your spine.

Back School: A Therapeutic Workshop with PT Emily Brown
▸▸ Thursday, September 3
▸▸ 6:00 to 7:00 PM
▸▸ FREE for members, $10 for non-members

One hour with a physical therapist to actually understand your spine. How it moves. What the small posture and daily habits are doing (or undoing). Which practices are worth taking home with you.

You'll start on the mat exploring alignment safely, then move to standing sequences that mirror what your body actually does in daily life. Emily brings techniques grounded in physical therapy to reduce pain and build strength where it counts. You'll leave with a personalized set of tools that work in your real life, not just in the studio.

About Emily: Emily Brown, PT, DPT, is a Washington native from Winthrop whose path to physical therapy came from her own experience as a competitive Alpine ski racer. She holds her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and continues advanced training in Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art. Emily specializes in orthopedic conditions and loves helping people get back to what they love doing.

For anyone managing back pain, or anyone tired of feeling like their spine is working against them.

A little back-to-school something: Manduka PRO mats are 30% off through September. 🍂

If your knees, wrists, or hips have been noticing the ground a little more lately, this might be your moment. A good mat is one of the quietest ways to take care of your body over time. Dense enough to protect your joints, grippy enough to let you move without thinking about it, and built to last so you're not replacing it every year.

30% off through September, right at the front desk.

08/20/2026

Whether we like it or not, fall is on its way! Get ready - our fall schedule will go live September 13.

Seasons have a way of changing what our bodies need. What has yours been craving lately? Hot Power in the late afternoon? More breathwork or yin? Early morning meditation? A slower flow on the weekend? Something else entirely?

Tell us: classes, times, teachers, formats...anything you want us to be sure to include on the new schedule - no silly requests and we read every note.

Email [email protected] through the end of August.

Keep and eye on our stories for a way to let us know there, too. Type in whatever comes to mind, big or small. 🤍

There's no timeline for grief. And often, no roadmap either.

Have you met Ganesha yet?

You may have noticed a new presence at the front desk. Ganesha, the bronze elephant now perched at check-in, comes from a story yoga has carried for centuries. He's known for clearing obstacles, welcoming new beginnings, and reminding us of the wisdom we already carry.

We have been sitting with a question for the studio this month: What's inspiring your practice?

Maybe it's finally addressing that hip pain. Maybe it's finding quiet focus in a world that keeps getting louder. Maybe it's community, belonging, or learning to love more deeply. Maybe it's just wanting to breathe a little easier.

The smoke has been thick on and off. If you've been more tired, more tender, or more short-fused than usual, you're not alone. The studio is here. A place to step inside, breathe a little easier, and come back to yourself even if just for an hour.

This week, that might be enough.

Actual footage of Aimee when you mention the first cohort comes together next month.

Our Align Yoga Teacher Training begins this September and this 2026 cohort is full! To everyone who trusted us to hold this: we are humbled, honored, and so excited to begin.

Thank you.

Here's a little reminder that the 2027 waitlist is now open.

If you've ever walked out of a class feeling something shift and wanted to understand why, if you want to learn how your body holds your life, or you're ready to understand yoga on a deeper level, this is for you too.

Teaching does not have to be the goal. No prerequisites. No experience required.
