I normally don’t ask my girls to take these photos but when they’re proud of their progress I will take their offer to share!! This girl shows up every. Single. Week. Even the days she may only have 20% or less to give, and it’s PAID OFF!! We started with 47 inches and now we’re down to 41.5!!! This is why I like to also judge progress by waist measurements as opposed to the scale fwi. Had to brag because she deserves it. 💗

When my basketball career ended I felt so lost…
I felt like I had no idea who I was, or where to go. I felt completely hopeless.
My body was DONE, and so was my mind. The Gym continued to be my safe space, but I discovered it in a new way. I started only working out 30 min-to an hour a day “just until I got my strength back.”
Well, I actually I started feeling… better? Being able to make better eating choices? My body started changing for the better?
I slowly figured out that working out could enhance my life not destroy it, like it had the last four years of my basketball career. Crazy concept.
Once I felt stronger I went back to my five days a week hour and a half-2 hour workouts for a second, I started feeling AWFUL again…
So again I went back to Pilates, some weights, 3 days a week. I felt better, looked better?🤨
This lead me into my personal training journey, I realized I wanted to help other people not go through what I did with the gym. As an athlete it’s hard to let go of the all or nothing mentality.
Sometimes, less is more, you don’t have to spend hours in the gym to get the results you want guys!!!! Take it from me who had to learn the hard way. My workouts look different now for sure from when I was an athlete, but it’s such a beautiful thing to rediscover exercise in a way that can make you happy, and feel better.
If you are a former athlete, message me. I did it the wrong way first so you don’t have to!!
