Tournament #2 is in the books, and these girls absolutely showed out!

We spent the weekend battling it out in the Tornado Classic 6 GG, and all that hard work paid off with a ticket straight to the Championship game! We finished the weekend with a strong 5-3 overall record, proving that this team has the heart and the hustle to compete with anyone.
The bats were hot, and the defense was locked in. Take a look at these tournament stats:

🥎 The Offense: 48 hits and 33 walks, with only 14 strikeouts

More than the numbers, what really stood out was their grit. The girls stayed incredibly disciplined at the plate and made every single team work down to the very last out to get them.

🥎 The Long Game: Development > Trophies

I’ll say it clearly: If winning comes at the cost of zero development, I’d rather lose until the development starts winning.

In travel ball, it’s easy to get caught up in the weekend hardware and the immediate satisfaction of a "W." But a trophy on the shelf doesn't mean much if the players aren't building the Game IQ, mechanics, and integrity they need for the next level. Winning without growth is a plateau; developing through the struggle is how you build a powerhouse.

More Than Just the Game:
Our mission goes beyond the chalk lines. We are using this sport as a tool to build character and leaders who will succeed long after they hang up their cleats. Whether it’s in the classroom, their future careers, or their communities, we want these athletes to carry the grit and "team-first" mentality they learned here into everything they do.

We aren't just coaching for this Saturday; we’re coaching for the people they will become. The wins will come—and when they do, they’ll be because we earned them the right way, both on and off the field.

Huge Weekend for the 11U Blue Stix!

Let’s hear it for our incredible 11U Blue Stix! This team traveled to Smiths Grove, KY yesterday and faced some of the toughest conditions we’ve seen yet. Despite the blistering cold, the wind, and the rain, these girls showed exactly what they’re made of, battling all the way to a 2nd Place Finish!

It was a total team effort, but we have to give some special shout-outs to a few standout performances:

🌟 Player Highlights

Money Mac 💸: A total force behind the plate! She led the defense with high energy and showed off her cannon by throwing a runner out in the Championship game.

Nessi: A workhorse on the mound! Nessi pitched three complete games, giving up only a handful of runs and a mere two walks. She was just as dangerous at the plate—it felt like she was finding grass every single at-bat!

Taylor: Lockdown defense in right field! Even with the wind whipping the ball in every direction, Taylor was a vacuum, catching every single ball hit her way.
Way to go, girls! We are so incredibly proud of the grit and heart you showed this weekend. You braved the elements and played like champions.
