IRON & ASPHALT 2026 is officially live.
Last fall, we hosted our first Iron & Asphalt Challenge at FVT Warrior Wellness in Lee’s Summit.
We spent a few months training toward a goal to bench press, deadlift, and ruck a 5K.
On event day, everyone showed up, tested their strength and endurance, had a great time, and put all that training to work.
One of the coolest parts was seeing how much progress people made along the way. Having an event on the calendar gave everyone a reason to train consistently, stay focused, and push themselves a little harder.
As a result, we’re bringing it back.
Iron & Asphalt 2026 is officially open.
Bench Press.
Deadlift.
5K Ruck.

One big mistake people make with their training is warming up by doing a couple arm circles, jogging in place, and then hopping right into it.
Or worse… nothing at all.
What we do is warm-ups that are specific to the work that comes ahead.
For example, if we’re doing upper body work — let’s say we’re benching — we’re going to do things like band pull-aparts (pictured here). We’re going to do shoulder stability work. We’re going to do shoulder mobility work. We’re going to do things to work on those little muscles in your back and get you ready for the work ahead so you’re prepared, can be as strong as possible, avoid injuries, and still actually feel good after you’re done.
