Bill Waris Blue Jays Basketball Club

I’m excited to share an opportunity for boys to continue their development this spring and summer with the Bill Waris Blue Jays Basketball program.

This spring/summer season will focus on:
• Skill development and fundamentals
• Competitive tournament play
• Team chemistry and leadership growth
• Building confidence heading into next season

We are looking to put together a committed group of players who want to improve, compete, and represent the Blue Jays the right way.

Tentative Plans:
• Practices: 1–2 times per week
• Local tournaments
• Season runs approximately March through July (final details coming soon)

More detailed information regarding cost, schedule, and tournament dates will be sent once we confirm roster interest.

Tryouts will take place on March 22nd and March 29th at Notre Dame de Sion High School.

Info: Join us for the 11th Annual Bill Waris Memorial Tournament, honoring the legacy of Avila University's former basketball coach, Bill Waris. This event features boys' and girls' divisions for grades 3rd-8th, with a three-game guarantee. Registration is $125 per team. Games will be hosted at Avila University and Saint Thomas More from April 11th-13th, 2025. A portion of the proceeds will benefit charity.

The Bill Waris Blue Jays Basketball Club will be hosting a two day Preseason Basketball camp at Notre Dame de Sion High School on November 12th and 13th for grades K through 8th grade. The camp will be held for grades from 9am-11am on Saturday and 12pm-2pm on Sunday for boys and girls . The cost is only $60.00 dollars per camper. The camp will focus on drills to get each camper ready for the upcoming basketball season. The camp will be ran by Tim Waris the Freshmen Head Boys Basketball Coach at Saint Michael's the Archangel High School, Chad Lynn the Varsity Head Girls Basketball Coach at Notre Dame de Sion High School, and Tim Waris Jr the JV Head Boys Basketball Coach at Saint Pius X High School.

We will have Jersey's for raffle and many other prizes.

Sunday 12pm-1:30pm for 2nd-4th grade and 1:30pm-3:30pm for 5th-8th grade for boys and girls. The cost is only $60.00 dollars per camper. The camp will focus on drills to get each camper ready for the upcoming basketball season.
