🏆 EVENTING 101: SHOW JUMPING

What is Show Jumping? 🐴

The final phase of eventing is all about precision, control, and clear rounds!

After tackling the endurance and technical challenges of Cross-Country, horse-and-rider pairs head into the Show Jumping arena to navigate a course of colorful fences.

Here’s what spectators should watch for:

🔹 Clear the jumps — One dropped rail = 4 penalty points.

🔹 Stay within the time allowed — Riders can receive time penalties for going over the course time.

🔹 Refusals matter — A refusal at a fence results in 4 penalties, while multiple refusals can ultimately lead to elimination.

🔹 The lowest score wins — In eventing, riders carry their scores from all three phases. The winner is the horse-and-rider combination with the lowest final score.

Three phases. One final test. 🏆
