Registration is now open for Town residents who wish to take part in a unique opportunity to explore the historic property of Rock Spring Farm through metal detecting on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cooking with kids is a delight. Most of the time. Realistically… maybe half the time.

This fall, let your young chefs take over the kitchen at Ida Lee’s Junior Master Chefs: Basic Skills class!

Are we as disciplined and cutthroat as Mr. Ramsey? No.
Do we encourage creativity, embrace a little mess, and keep the place from burning down? Absolutely.

Let us be the culinary guides (and cleaners of the mess) one day a week for you!

For those who are unable to join us in person, the Town will broadcast tomorrow morning’s September 11 observance live on the Town of Leesburg, Virginia page beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The event will take place at Freedom Park, 101 Colonel Grenata Circle, to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Mayor Kelly Burk will share a few words during the ceremony. Flowers will be provided to those in attendance to place at the memorial in remembrance of those who lost their lives.
