CLBL is for boys and girls in grades 1-12 in the Heritage High School, Loudoun County High School, and Tuscarora High School districts. Each season CLBL serves over 1,500 players in the Leesburg, VA area of Loudoun County.
The Youth House League is a recreational league for grades 1-8. CLBL strives to place every registrant on a team, however, optimum team size (8-10 per team depending on age) and number of coach applicants are the driving factors for how many players we can accommodate in each league. Some registrants may be placed on a waitlist until we receive the proper number of qualified coach applicants - this is usually a temporary situation to ensure proper team size. You will be notified when to complete registration. If CLBL can not accommodate your registrant, you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. All house league players must attend a skills evaluation in mid-October. Coaches draft their teams. The Travel League is for grades 6-8. There can be six "select" teams (Boys 6th, Boys 7th, Boys 8th, Girls 6th, Girls 7th and Girls 8th) from each middle school (Harper Park MS, J. L. Simpson MS and Smart's Mill MS). Tryouts are the first week of October. The High School League has five divisions: Boys 9th, Boys 10th, Boys 11th, Boys 12th and Girls 9-12.
CLBL hopes to open registration around 8PM this evening. We will provide an update later today - one way or another. We are working out the last few items before opening it up.
Thanks for your patience!

CLBL Coaches & Families (please excuse the long post - very important!),
With the 2018-2019 season having drawn to a close, the CLBL Board of Directors will soon be closing out its league year. As happens every season, we will be looking to fill slots on the Board created by departure of current officers and directors, as well as changes to the internal structure of the Board. If you are interested in taking on a more active role in the operations of the league, we'd love to hear from you!
Basketball experience is not critical for every role on the board - so please don't let a perceived lack of depth in basketball knowledge prevent you from submitting your name for consideration. We do need people with both planning experience within large organizations (our league is currently composed of upwards of 1,700 players and over 200 coaches) and a desire to give back to the Leesburg community.
If you are interested, please complete the Director Interest Form online to make your interest known, and we'll contact you over the next couple of weeks to discuss further. The new Board of Directors needs to be set in early May, so we will move this process along as quickly as possible.
Looking forward to hearing from you! Feel free to send me any questions you might have.
