Congratulations to Coach Cornelia Miller on being honored with the prestigious Educator Excellence Award at The Legacy and Freedom Gala this evening! This recognition is a true reflection of the incredible impact she makes each and every day through her dedication to students, colleagues, and the Vernon Parish community.

Ms. Coach Miller is exceptionally deserving of this honor. Her unwavering positivity, servant leadership, and commitment to excellence have touched countless lives and inspired those around her to be their very best. Whether in the classroom, on the basketball court, or throughout the community, she consistently demonstrates what it means to lead with heart and purpose.

This honor is made even more special considering the distinguished group of educators with whom she was nominated. We are especially proud to celebrate our very own Vernon Middle School principal, Ms. Donita Poteat, as well as Mr. Michael Selby, Mrs. Angela DeGray, and Mr. Tyrone Farley. This is an outstanding group of educators whose dedication to students and service to our community exemplify the very best in Vernon Parish education.

Join us June 11 & 12 at Tioga High School for two days of great competition featuring teams from across Central and North Louisiana!

Come out and support these young athletes as they compete, improve, and prepare for the upcoming season. With games running throughout both days, there will be plenty of action on the court.
