I know there have been a lot of updates lately. Those will slow down as we approach completion of the project. Massive thank you to Trent Dyer and the Lehi Parks and works crew for their work to improve the course and park!

No. This is not a garbage can. It is not a mail drop. Or a dog 💩 disposal. Hopefully this sign helps to clear that up. And help people get their lost discs back.

We are partnering with Birdcage Disc Golf Shop to help return discs that are turned in. Here is how it works:

Once per week, the lost discs will be taken to Birdcage’s shop. They have software called “Disc Defender” that helps to text numbers on the discs and gives instructions on where to pick them up. No awkward back and forth meeting up with strangers.

So please use this with lost discs!! Even if you find a disc at another course - drop it in here and Birdcage will handle it.

We installed a mando on hole 5 and are enforcing it hole notes on Udisc. The mando takes away the shot over the cul de sac that often resulted in discs in yards or hitting cars. Respecting the mando will also be respecting the neighbors of the park. Thanks!

For the course to flow well, we need people to walk on the asphalt path to hole 6, not the winding sidewalk.

This path 1) will no longer twist your ankle and 2) direct traffic toward crosswalk. Win win. We will get it covered with mulch or compacted road base soon.

Dry Creek Update!

Over the past year and a half, we’ve been closely working with Lehi City Parks on a renovation plan for Dry Creek. We’re excited to share that construction of 12 new 6x12 concrete tee pads may begin as early as next week, weather and contractor schedule permitting! This is a major phase of the Dry Creek course improvement project, and we’re grateful to Lehi Parks for helping move this forward.

As part of this process, several layout adjustments will be made to improve safety, flow, and long-term playability. This redesign has been developed, reviewed, and refined for over 18 months in coordination with the city and with input from many within the community. Thank you to all who provided your thoughtful input!

Three guiding principles shaped the redesign:

1. Safety first. Trail and park usage continues to increase, especially with new connector trails, and the course must coexist responsibly with other park users. Our privilege to continue to play disc golf in the park depends on this.

2. Keep Dry Creek beginner friendly while still engaging for intermediate players. Dry Creek should still be the course you can introduce disc golf to a brand new player.

3. Objectively improve shot variety and overall course quality. Framed fairways. Fair gaps. FUN!

As part of this change, two existing holes will be removed and replaced with safer, better-positioned holes.

Current Hole 1 has consistently created conflicts. Many rounds you can’t even play the Hole 1 due to how busy it is under the tree. The new Hole 1 will be a ~250 foot shot throwing south across the drainage basin, creating better separation from park users while improving sight lines, flow, and giving players a clean, stock shot to start the round.

Hole 6 will also be relocated due to ongoing safety concerns with the parking lot and restroom area. The redesign reduces significant conflict/complaints and improves spacing in that section of the park.

We’ll share the full layout soon. We understand that course changes can take adjustment, especially for players who’ve enjoyed certain holes for years. The goal is a safer, more sustainable course that serves the community well for the long term.

The current plan is for the course to remain open during construction, with clearly marked areas indicating safe play zones. Please keep an eye out for posted updates.

We’re excited about Dry Creek getting some love! This is a significant upgrade! Additionally, we’re hopeful the broader course improvement project, including new baskets and permanent signage, will reach substantial completion by the end of the year. Should be a great year for Dry Creek!
