Did Williams from the Saints miss this tackle on purpose to lose the game? 01/15/2018

Having been a Pro Wrestler for a long time, I'm almost on board here. Not really sure how this even happened.

Regardless, THIS is why you practice the basics and the Foundation even as a Pro Athlete. Keep your head up and tackle like they taught you in P*e Wee and you are off the the NFC Championship.

Did Williams from the Saints miss this tackle on purpose to lose the game? Williams ( #43) on the New Orleans Saints DODGES tackling Diggs to lose the game?.. on purpose?

I don't usually like to vent out loud. However, Things have got to change. Coaches and Trainers have got to wake the hell up and get back to the basics and start building the foundation. There are too many kids getting too many injuries, way too young.

PARENTS: No matter how great your athlete is at a specific sport, IF they are not trained properly and they do not have a strong foundation, THEY WILL GET HURT.

Here are the FACTS:
1. There are an average of 200,000 ACL tears/year in the U.S
2. Females are up to 9 times more likely to tear an ACL
3. High school athletes account for an estimated 2 million injuries and 500,000 doctor visits and 30,000 hospitalizations each year.
4. Children ages 5 to 14 account for nearly 40 percent of all sports-related injuries treated in hospitals. On average the rate and severity of injury increases with a child's age.
5. Overuse injuries are responsible for nearly half of all sports injuries to middle and high school students.
6. By age 13, 70 percent of kids drop out of youth sports.
7. Since 2000 there has been a fivefold increase in the number of serious shoulder and elbow injuries among youth baseball, volleyball and softball players.

And on and on and on.............................

Just because an athlete is a single sport Volleyball player, can someone explain to me why they are not training the upper body, let alone anything above the waist??

Are the shoulders and upper body strength not an important factor in training a volleyball athlete??

If you are not training the shoulders, do you think that that athlete will NOT experience shoulder pain??

If we train the lower body ONLY and increase the athletes vertical jump then that means the shoulders and upper body strength is good to go??

Trainers have got to STOP putting 9,10,11,12 year old kids on top of a Bosu Ball (Dome Down), putting weights in their hands and making them do exercises because you think it looks cool. I can't remember the last time my college strength coach put us on a Bosu Ball to build Power and Strength. The ONLY thing you have accomplished is making yourself look like a JACKASS.

Coaches have GOT to start being smart and training SMART. 60% of Power comes from Core. Shoulders to Hips, PERIOD. As boring as it may be for them, you MUST incorporate Mobility in your programming.

Athletes get hurt, go to rehab, become Pain free and then go right back to the same damn grind. So that means they wont get hurt again? Wrong, the chances are probably greater.

BE SMART. No matter how boring you think it may be, GET BACK TO COACHING THE BASICS AND BECOME THE SOLUTION AND STOP CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!
