🏀Are you knowledgeable about basketball and have what it takes to be a positive role model for kids both on and off the court? R&P is currently accepting volunteer coach applications for the upcoming 2026-2027 Youth Basketball League season!

✅To get the process started, simply register on CivicPlus as a Volunteer Coach in the Youth Basketball Winter League category. You will then be prompted to complete a volunteer coaching application and a background check screening.

⛹️If you are selected as a coach, you will be placed with your child's team. If you do not have a child in the program, you will be placed in an open spot. Team assignments will not be completed until after program registration.

💻Coaches will also be required to complete online coaches trainings prior to the season starting. More details will be provided once you are approved and assigned as a coach.

🥇Whether you're chasing a personal best, enjoying a leisurely walk, or pushing a stroller, these events are designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Both 5K routes are fully paved and perfect for first-time runners, seasoned racers, and everyone in between.

👕Paid registrants for each event will receive a T-shirt and commemorative item. Proceeds from R&P Fun Runs help support the R&P youth scholarship fund.

🛹The Chaptico Skatepark was designed with community input and brings a fun and dynamic place to skate and ride to the northern part of St. Mary's County.

💥The skatepark features more than 6,600 square feet of concrete construction and offers a variety of challenges for skaters and BMX riders of all skill levels. Admission is free!
