Have you been away from training for awhile? I'm happy to recommend Mr. Steve Baker's Kickboxing and self defense class at Flex World Fitness in Georgetown! Class meets Monday-Wed-Friday at 5pm. You may recognize a few familiar faces here! Get stronger, make new friends, gain new skills, have fun and get fighting fit! No excuses. Keep training!!!!

Hello everyone! Sensei Mike hopes you are well and having a strong start to your 2019. Do you want to get stronger and gain some great skills? I highly recommend you check out Mr. Steven Baker's Kickboxing class at Flex World Fitness in Georgetown! Classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm. Coach Steven is an excellent trainer and works extremely well with all age groups. You've already got members from EDGE who are now under his guidance. So, get in, get after it and keep training! We wish to take a moment and thank each and every one of our students, supporters and members of our local and global community for the many years of your dedicated enthusiasm for the work we have done through The EDGE Academy. As many people know, Sensei Mike is from Northern Maine. Delaware has been a fantastic place to start a business, meet new friends and become adopted into the community. After careful reflection and a strong desire to be near family, The EDGE Academy will be hosting its final class on Saturday, August 11th 2018.Sensei Mike and Miss Jamie will be relocating to the Southern Maine area in time for Jamie to start the new school year at her new school assignment. There is nothing more precious than family and not being near his relatives for so many years has been a great source of struggle for Sensei Mike. Serving your families and watching your children grow has been his greatest work and he sincerely hopes that his time and energy has been of some benefit to you and your family. Thank you for helping make a life long dream for Sensei Mike come true! We wish you all the best and can assure you that Sensei will be back for visits! For now, if you are a member of EDGE, please come in and take classes while Sensei is still here. Please consider looking into area martial arts schools to continue training. Sussex County is home to some fantastic schools and instructors. Sensei Mike may be unique but he is certainly not the only one who can train you, push you and grow your skills! Don't be shy about enrolling and trying classes elsewhere. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for absolutely everything. Remember folks: Always improve. Always Evolve. Never Give Up.

Some very wise words from our dear friend John Fitzpatrick from a few years ago. John has trained with me and Sensei Norwood at a Martial Blade Concepts seminar in New Jersey, has been over here with JB Jaeger to assist with teaching and training during their seminars with us. These guys are family and I am so blessed to have them in both my martial as well as personal life. Please take the opportunity to train with these guys when we have them over here to visit. You won't be disappointed!!!

In my college years, I branched off into seminars and training experiences to further my education and fell in love with the Filipino martial arts. For my adults- if you missed our last seminar with our dear friends over at MDJKD- take heart! We have a close relationship with these folks and there is a chance that Sifu Yeager, Sensei Fitzpatrick and Sensei Mike may be working with Doug Marcaida next month in Virginia. If you've watched "Forged In Fire" on History Channel, you've seen Doug do blade testing. We work hard to bring some unique training experiences that crush the mold of typical class offerings.
