Among the things we are doing here at D2W is trying to figure out how we best communicate to our customers and to the world at large. We are a newly merged business that focuses on our ability to help our customers design, outfit and maintain top level fitness spaces for all types of users. But that sentence doesn't roll off the tongue does it?

So over the past couple of weeks while we have been in meetings I asked all of our people, "what is the best way to communicate who we are?". I got a lot of good answers. But by far the best answer came from Nick Kellard, one of our experienced fitness technicians.

Nick came in from his vacation for the meeting. Which in and of itself was enough to get him a gold star. Then Nick said, and I am paraphrasing here, "Whenever I leave my customer after completing my work I like to tell them: You're good to go". After weeks of puzzling over how to communicate who we are, Nick nailed it in a four word sentence. Thanks Nick! !

I'm excited to say that Xavier University Rec HUB is the very first facility in Ohio to install the EcoFit asset managment/equipment floor optimization reporting system. This little device is connected to not only the cardio machines but also the strength machines. The device sends data wirelessly to a router then the information is sent to the facilities managers computer and/or a smart device so the facility can keep watch of how all of their equipment is performing on one dashboard. For Xavier this system will lower equipment down times, extend equipment life, provide better service efficiency, provide floor space optimization and data based procurement planning and increase client satisfaction while lowering liability from injury due to improperly performing equipment all while saving Xavier money in the long term. I'm excited to finally be able to share all of the pictures of the completed install at the brand new Xavier University HUB Recreation Center. This project has literally been a 16 year dream for the University in the making and designFITNESS has been a part of this 16 year journey. There were some set backs thoughout this journey but the dream has finally become reality for the University, for Leslie Dulle and her incredible team. There were times that we thought it may never happen but to say the wait was worth it is a understatement. I'm honored to have had the opportunity to take this incredible ride with the University. If this isn't the best thing that has happened to the University, administration and their students then I'd have to say its in the top two. The students are going to be blown away on Monday when this incredible facility opens!
