People always ask us what the horses are like... they’re basically just giant dogs! Here’s scientific proof that our horses are just golden retrievers in 1,000-pound suits trying (and failing) to attack the hose water.

CLASSIFIED INFORMATION BELOW 🚨🚨

We were sworn to secrecy, but the truth can no longer be contained. The rumors are true. The pasture has been infiltrated.

Mission Status: Compromised, because we couldn't keep this a secret another second. Operation "Welcome the New Kids" is officially underway!

Target profiles acquired: Meet Calypso (formerly known as Lady) and Doc (formerly known as Storm), the two newest operatives to join our trail herd. Calypso is a black and white Tennessee walking horse mare and Doc is a chocolate palomino Rocky Mountain x Tennessee walking horse gelding! Their objectives? Calypso is busy plotting her reign over the pasture, and Doc is busy demonstrating how to sleep standing up like a true professional.

Safe to say, they fit right in. We can’t wait for you to meet them soon.
Drop a "Welcome" in the comments! We made the brilliant, completely legally binding decision to promise them a treat for every single comment. Please have mercy on our bank account and our feed bill, but definitely say hi to Calypso and Doc!

We’ve got a last-minute spot open for a group of 2 or 3 people. Perfect for a date, a BFF hangout, or just an excuse to pretend you're a rugged frontier explorer instead of someone who spent all week staring at spreadsheets.
Make the questionable, highly spontaneous decision to go touch some grass (and horse hair) this afternoon.

👨‍⚖️ATTENTION WE’RE CALLING THE “I HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOVES HORSES, BUT I VALUE MY FINANCIAL STABILITY” SUPPORT GROUP MEETING TO ORDER!👩‍⚖️ The horse person in your life has been aggressively dropping hints for months. They want a horse. They want a barn. They want to wake up at dawn to live out their equestrian dreams. Their heart belongs to the hoofed and unfortunately there’s no cure. Before you panic buy a 1,200 pound animal and convert your garage into a tack room, we can offer you a better solution! Let’s look at your options:

Buying the horse:
Purchase price: $4,000 to infinity (this is the bait, don’t take it)
Monthly board and feed: $400-$1,200+ (lasts forever)
Farrier (every 8 weeks): $130+ (just for horse pedicures)
Equine dentist: $120+ (yes, even the horses need to see a dentist)
The “surprise” vet bill: $5,000 (let’s hope it’s not colic)
Supplements: $120+ a month (the horse’s joints might not hurt, but yours will because you can’t afford rent)
Winter blankets: $200 x 4 (lightweight, medium, heavy, and the “it’s slightly raining” sheet)
Your weekend schedule: up at dawn, wrestling 50+ pound hay bales, mucking stalls, missing family events because the horse ate a weird stick, and winter comes with the added bonus of breaking ice out of water troughs. Cleanliness? Kiss it goodbye! If you’re not dirty after grooming the horses and mucking the stalls, it’s the hay that will get you. Hay. Everywhere. Your clothes, the floors, your shoes, your hair, the furniture, EVERYWHERE.

Drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁

Our winners from our photo contest are…. Emma Lewis (a photo with our beloved and retired, Calico) AND Carol Swartzlander Findley (a photo of Chester making his way through the snack spot on the trail)!

A huge thank you for everyone who participated! There were so many great submissions, it was so hard to just one winner. We decided to pick two winners instead, one for our profile photo and one for our background photo! Even then, it was still difficult due to all the awesome photos we received from our lovely customers!!

This was so much fun! Stay tuned for our next photo contest when we decide we need another revamp!
