This training explores the impact of excessive screen time on young children’s development and learning. Participants will examine how increased access to televisions, tablets, phones, and other digital devices can affect children’s brain development, social skills, creativity, and emotional well-being. The session also reviews current recommendations regarding screen exposure and discusses how screen overuse can replace important developmental experiences such as hands-on play, social interaction, and sensory learning.
Early educators will learn practical strategies for reducing screen exposure and promoting healthier alternatives that support development, including active play, storytelling, music, and meaningful social interactions. By the end of the training, participants will better understand how to create learning environments that encourage real-world experiences and strengthen children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Last chance to register for The Leader's Lens, May 27th at 12:30 PM! 🔍

Today, the use of center management platforms, parent/teacher communications applications, email, online subscriptions, and portals is deeply entrenched in all operational and administrative processes of a modern ECE program. Comprehensive policies regarding ownership and access to these must be clear and enforced to protect and preserve those records.

Live on Zoom, we will discuss policy language explaining ownership of accounts created and used by staff, along with practical procedures for maintaining records of logins, account passwords, and preservation.

We hope to see you there!
