MARTIAL ARTS MYTHS WE NEED TO LET DIE
Myth #4: Traditional Means Unchanged.
We’ve always described what we do as “Traditional Martial Arts for a Modern World.”
We value the traditions that were handed down to us—but martial arts have never stopped evolving. The very people who created many of the traditions we practice today were innovators themselves.
We want our martial arts to have roots. But we also want them to keep growing.

🥋 **MARTIAL ARTS MYTHS WE NEED TO LET DIE**
**Myth #3: Size Doesn’t Matter.**
Skill matters. Technique matters. Training matters.
But physics still exists.
I learned this lesson firsthand when I fought at heavyweight—and even though I won, I’ve never felt so physically overpowered in a fight.
The lesson wasn’t that size doesn’t matter.
**It was that because size mattered, I had to fight smarter.**

🥋 **MARTIAL ARTS MYTHS WE NEED TO LET DIE**
**Myth #2: There’s One Best Martial Art.**
Boxing. Karate. BJJ. Wrestling. Judo. Muay Thai. MMA.
Everyone has an opinion about which one is “best.”
But maybe we’re asking the wrong question.
Every martial art has strengths. Every martial art has weaknesses. And different systems are built to accomplish different things.
**Be a martial artist first and a stylist second.**

1. Say their name before the instruction, not after.
2. Give a countdown instead of repeating yourself.
3. Follow through calmly, every time, so they learn you mean it.
Save this for the next busy morning.

We don't take this for granted.
Every belt tied, every 'I can't' that turns into 'I did it' — we get to be part of that. That's not something we take lightly.
Thank you for trusting us with your child. It's the reason we love this job.
