Join us on the KY River Wednesday evenings for a casual group paddle! Perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike! We will take off each week from downtown Frankfort, KY (exact location TBD) at 6:30 PM to casually paddle until dark, or when we are ready for some food and a well-deserved 🍺

Our first meeting will be held April 12 (weather permitting) so mark your calendars!

New Kentucky River access expected to bring economic boost The City of Lexington’s purchase of 30 acres of land along the Kentucky River, creating the city’s only public access to the river, is expected to create a big boost in economic activity in the area.

My name is Amanda Strunk, and I am the founder of Bluegrass SUP Academy! I am a life long water lover, and have been paddling for over ten years, the last five at a competitive level. I am a American Canoe Association certified Level 2 SUP Instructor, Safe Sport certified, and certified in First Aid and CPR. I got my start in race league coordination and instruction with and a few years back and knew that I wanted to make SUP my forever career! I am taking this leap forward to offer private or group lessons, guided tours, clinics, and retreats so I can get as many of you on the water as possible! I believe that SUP is for EVERYONE, and I would love to teach you everything from the basics of paddling all the way to competing in your first event!
