First Football Game of the Season! 🏈

We are ready for the first game of the season tomorrow against Boyle County at WKU! 🏈 Go Aces!💚🤍💛

We want wish our Assistant Cheer Coach, Abby, a very Happy Birthday!!! We love you and hope you have the best day!!! 💚

UCA Cheer Camp 2026 was a HUGE success for the Owensboro Catholic Cheer Program! The Middle School Squad joined forces with the High School squad to compete in the High School division. After only 24 hours of learning our routine we received the following awards as a team:
1 Gold Ribbon for the cheer (the highest performance evaluation) 💛
1 Blue Ribbon for the dance (2nd highest performance evaluation) 💙
1st place trophy for our cheer 🏆
3rd place trophy for our dance 🏆
2nd place overall 🏆
Superior Team Award🏆
Overall Team Spirit Award 🍌
Team Leadership Award 👏🏼
8 All Americans

We also had two individuals receive awards from the High School:

Junior, Kirsten Zoglmann made the All-American team for the 3rd time!!! Congratulations, keep up the great work!!!

And Senior, Lexi Mercker, made the All American team for the first time and received the Pin it Forward Award. A UCA staff member selected Lexi as a standout camper who displayed great spirit, motivation and a positive attitude. She received two pins, one to keep, and one to give away to a member of another team who displayed the same qualities. Lexi chose a very sweet girl from Butler County! Lexi, we are so proud of you!

Overall, we couldn’t be more proud of how hard these ladies worked. It was a great start to what we feel will be another amazing season for the OCHS cheer team! We want to thank Coach Brett, Coach Bri, Coach Cassidy, and Coach Lorna for allowing the Middle School to join forces with us and to the UCA Staff for an incredible Summer Camp! 💚
