We want to congratulate Joey Hughes, the winner of the most special award given at Bluegrass Little League, the Chase Comley Award. This award is given to a player who has displayed a most honorable character and who has embodied the spirit of Little League. Joey is pictured here with Cathy Comley, Chase’s mom, who graciously joined us this year to present the award named in honor of her son, a former player in our league and later a Marine who was killed in the line of duty in Iraq. We are so thankful for his legacy at Bluegrass Little League and for Cathy’s kindness in joining us.
