It’s more than vibrant colors chosen to inspire kids. More than a curriculum crafted to not only teach kids to swim but also to build their character through guided play. We use our holistic philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. In a class size of no more than 4 children to 1 swim instructor, children master the skills they need to be safer and confident in the water. Beginning as early as 4 months, children progress through a series of perpetual swimming lessons, graduating to higher levels of difficulty as swimming skills are mastered. Goldfish also offers special events like parties, Family Swim, accelerated Jump Start Clinics and our Goldfish Swim Force Team, catered to swimmers who have completed the Goldfish Pro Level. On Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 12:30-2:30 p.m., Goldfish Swim School Nicholasville Road — Lexington will host the launch event for More About Standards: The Story of Michael Alexander Stewart (MAS).

More About Standards – The Story of Michael Alexander Stewart – is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting young lives from drowning. It exists to educate families, advocate for stronger water safety standards, and provide resources that help communities prevent tragedy.

Event highlights include:

✔️Water Safety Presentation from the Goldfish Swim School Team

✔️Remarks by MAS founder Alexandria Stewart and Goldfish Swim School Nicholasville Road — Lexington owner Theresa Carnes

✔️Water Safety Education materials provided by Safe Kids Fayette County

✔️Open Family Swim (A $20 donation per family is requested to help provide swim lesson scholarships to Kentucky kids in need.
