As many of you know, last week we suddenly lost our long-time teammate and former club president Ali Crane. Please consider joining us in the following efforts to memorialize her years of service to the Lexington Rugby community:

• A memorial bench at Centennial Park, the Lexington Black Widows home pitch
• A framed jersey in honor of Ali at Molly Brooke's, the rugby clubs' home bar
• A memorial gathering for the rugby community
• Any additional funds will be held by the Lexington Black Widows to support new rugby players between the ages of 18-25, with the goal of growing women's rugby in Lexington.

Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love and support we have received over the last few days from the loss of a pillar of our team. Ali was so passionate about rugby that her spirit allowed the sport to grow in Lexington, and it will continue in her memory for years to come.

There will be a Celebration of Life in her honor this Sunday at 5 pm at Molly Brooke’s. All that knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Flexington Rugby and friends travelled to Bourbon Country 10’s yesterday for a few hard fought matches! If you’re interested in playing with us for the rest of the Summer or Fall, we would love to have you join us!!
