Statement from USA Pickleball Regarding the Ronbus Ripple Paddle

USA Pickleball is committed to upholding the integrity of paddle certification through rigorous, standardized testing procedures to ensure fair play and compliance with established performance thresholds.

Regarding the certification status of the Ronbus Ripple.R1.14 PBCoR.43, paddles initially provided for PBCoR testing were beta samples, not final production paddles. USA Pickleball received no production samples for certification until explicitly requested. As a result, the Ripple.R1.14 PBCoR.43 paddle has not been fully certified by USA Pickleball and should not be represented as such.

While Ronbus has conducted internal testing and seeded prototype models with influencers and paddle reviewers, these beta units do not constitute fully certified products. USA Pickleball’s independent testing, conducted in partnership with Element US Space and Defense, revealed that the production paddles submitted for final certification did not pass PBCoR testing.

Reviewers and consumers should be aware that any prototype or pre-certification product should not display the USA Pickleball “Approved” seal unless it has successfully completed the full suite of certification tests.

USA Pickleball remains committed to working with manufacturers to ensure fair and transparent testing protocols. Any paddle seeking full certification must pass all required tests before being officially listed on the USA Pickleball website as an approved product.

In case anyone was curious, we shipped off 421 cracked / broken balls for recycling this week.

That's roughly 27 pounds of plastic NOT going to the landfill.

From Middletown Pickleball Association, many from Kentucky have played in their tournaments.

Dear MPA members,
We wanted to let you know that Stanley Volkens, the founder of Middletown Pickleball Association, will be turning 95 on November 24th!
Stanley had a vision for bringing pickleball to Middletown, and he succeeded! He started from scratch by transforming a few of the tennis courts into 6 pickleball courts. Our club grew so we expanded into 11 courts. We grew even more, and became 18 courts, and here we are at 27 dedicated courts, the most in OHIO!!
Standley and existing members did the majority of the labor and financial burden of the courts in the beginning. No companies involved.
Stanley and his beloved wife Marcia now reside in Otterbein Senior Life Center in Lebanon, Ohio.
Brenda Byrd had the great idea of letting our club know so we could send him our best wishes, memories, and any pictures you may have for his birthday!

Update on the Shillito courts: final asphalt coat has been laid down!

They are planning to put down temporary lines and install the nets during the winter so the courts can open for play. They will close temporarily in the spring after the weather warms back up to do the permanent painting and lines.

Congratulations UK men's basketball on a great win against Duke yesterday. And ..... Congratulations to the UK DUPR pickleball team which is now ..... nationally ranked! UK pickleball moved from unranked in 2023 to #42 currently. Go PickleCats! Thank you Pickleball Paddock, Diadem and Gamma Sports for support.
