Kentucky Cattlemen's Association - Young Producer Council

The YPC Campout will be on May 10th at Eden Shale Farm in Owen County, KY. Everyone is invited and feel free to bring the family for some camping.
Bring a tent, sleeping bag, and camp chair. Dinner and Breakfast will be provided.

Eden Shale Farm is located at 245 Eden Shale Rd, Owenton, KY 40359. There is no official start time, whenever you can get there after work is fine.

Please RSVP by May 8th so there will be enough food for everyone.

The upcoming YPC Field Day on April 27th will be held in the Washington/Nelson County area. We will meet at the Washington County Extension Office at 9:45am.

We will be departing for Rising Son’s Beef at 10:00am sharp. After that we will tour a cow/calf confinement operation in Washington County.

Lunch will be provided at the Stephen Foster Buffett.

After lunch we will visit T&T Feed & Seed, a feed store owned by two young producers. Lastly we will end the day with a distillery tour at the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown.

There is no need to RSVP to the field day, just plan to meet us at the Washington County Extension office at 9:45am.

Join the Kentucky Beef Council this Friday, August 24th at 7:05 p.m. for Lexington Legends' Beef Night at the Ballpark at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

As a token of appreciation for cattle farmers across the Bluegrass, the Kentucky Beef Council has reserved 100 seats for producers and their families to join them for a FREE night of beef, baseball, and a whole lot of fun.

Ohio Farm Science Review
If anyone is interested in attending the Ohio Farm Science Review, please let me know ASAP. I am planning the trip and am trying to decide on accommodations and transportation. We will leave after work on Tuesday, Sept 18 around 5:30 PM from the Lexington area. We will attend the farm show on Wednesday, Sept 19th and drive back late that night after the show. Please let me know if you are interested so I can plan accordingly.

Stay informed folks. These are not our friends. OCM is now ran by HSUS and has the goal of repealing our Beef Checkoff. Study up, educate yourselves, and then educate congress.
