Before we know it we will celebrate twenty five years of service this great state of fishermen and women.

Throughout these years, just as we still do today, we welcome these great people to come in, grab a very cold Ale8 and a snack, take a seat and join in on good conversation.

As of recent all conversations appear to be centered around a World Bass Tournament of high school anglers. Opinions are all over with a vast majority voicing opposition due to the vast number of estimated up to 500 boats. While every opinion has it merits and the complexity of running such an event the hard fact remains. These decisions met with many questions from the Core of Engineers, KDFW, local and state leaders and based on their approval will move toward in just a few weeks.

Least we not forget the positive aspects of such an event. My understanding is the motels as far away as Lexington are booked. Retailers are building necessary supplies to accommodate the massive over flow of young anglers. Tourism dollars are in the millions.

Most of all, as all Kentuckians due so it’s time to embrace all these people coming into the Commonwealth of Kentucky with open arms. They too are concerned of what’s to come. We have personally heard from some of these people.

It’s no secret that this generation will absolutely become our leaders of the future to local, state, and national positions. The manner in which they are received, supported and encouraged by all of us could well become full circle in the years to come as Kentucky will be remembered as how they were received.

The time is now not to speak discouraging words but band together with encouragement for our guest.
