We had a wonderful time this year with the Waddell swimmers! These lessons are part of Friends of Rockbridge Swimming's mission to make every child in Rockbridge County water safe.

We had a great time hosting VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment at the Lexington Municipal Pool this July. It's wonderful to be able to share the pool with our community and enjoy fun in the sun.

Huge thanks to VMI Cadets Blake Darmante, Caleb Bird, Phoenix Alyea, John Gorski, and Ryan Beckman who volunteered as part of VMI's Spring FTX to help beautify our pool. Special shout out to our FOR Swimming Board Member Shannon Dryden for coordinating this activity.

Congratulations to our STORM swimmers competing at the SW District Championship this weekend. STORM sent 12 swimmers to the championship. 14year old Vincent Shahbazi made top 16 in all three of his events today, returning for finals in the 50 free, 100 back, and 500 freestyle.

Some swimmers will be returning tomorrow, 3/1 to compete again!

A huge shoutout to our Age Group STORM swimmers that came to cheer on our RCHS Wildcats at their home meet yesterday. Wildcats beat Rocktown and Wilson Memorial to come out on top!! Congratulations to all our swimmers!

Reminder: Join us for our New Year's Day Event at the Rockbridge Aquatics Center!

We will be open special hours from 12 to 3 pm offering two ways to get in your aquatic exercise.

First up from 12 pm to 2 pm we will be offering 1 hour slots for the 2026 Kickoff Challenge for our lap swimmers. Then from 2:15 pm to 3pm we will be offering the New Year, New You: Water Fitness Circuit Sampler!
