Every day on the farm brings its own small miracles and FUN! 🎊 Today it was the B***o Brothers and Mama LuLa showing up as my “helpful” helpers (helpful in parentheses, because anyone who’s worked around donkeys knows they’re equal parts humor and holy mischief 🫏😂)!

As I wheeled out fresh hay, they fell into formation — a wheelbarrow crew on a mission, reporting for snack inspection with ears forward and hearts & mouths wide open.

Moments like these remind me that ‘Hay Day’ is more than feeding time — it’s connection time. It’s where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, where spirit meets simplicity, and where helpers come in all shapes, sizes, and BRAYS 🎼🩶

This post from six years ago reminded me how something as simple as hay time with the herd can carry so much depth. It’s not just feeding—it’s listening, observing, connecting. It’s one of the most sacred times of day here.

The sound of horses munching hay… it softens the edges of a hard moment. It calms the heart. It opens space for healing. I’ve practiced this quiet rhythm of presence and care since the beginning. This philosophy has always guided my herd.

Since 2011, Spirit-Centered Horsemanship has been the heart of everything I do—every interaction, every quiet moment, every shared breath with my horses. It’s not new. It’s our root. It’s the way we live—one steeped in trust, in truth, and in honoring the soul of every horse who chooses to walk beside us. ⚖️

The herd has changed over the years—some have become equine angels, their hoofprints forever etched in my heart. 🕊️ Others have just begun their journey with us—like Mya, Apollo, and our beloved donkeys.

In rescue, there are ebbs and flows… goodbyes and hellos… lessons whispered in every hoofbeat.

You carry me daily. You always have… and you guide me still. 🌿

That’s a mighty fine career and title. My best one yet. 🤓🤩
