If you don’t know what an accoutrement is, it’s something that completes the package. Conveniently, that’s exactly what this filly is.

This gorgeous grey girl is retiring from racing after deciding that while she enjoys the accommodations, the actual racing part was a bit overrated. Why run fast when you can look pretty and conserve energy for your second career?

Accoutrement approached racing much like some people approach cardio: she showed up, participated, and felt that was enough.

In true fashion, Accoutrement comes with all the accoutrements:

Yes, she’s only two. The good news? She’s already checked “racehorse” off her resume and decided she’d like to pursue other opportunities.

She’s been handled, hauled, exposed to plenty, and has all the life experience that comes with being a young Thoroughbred, without much of the wear and tear. Now she’s ready to start the next chapter.
