Big thank you to the KC Cowgirls10U for getting out on the field with our Ravens 10U last night for a scrimmage! Two teams getting reps, competing, and helping each other get better heading into the Fall season.

What a season for Ravens Fastpitch Softball!

This past Spring/Summer, our four Ravens teams took the field for more than 215 games - from Kansas City to Columbia up to Iowa and all the way down to Oklahoma City!

And everywhere THE FLOCK went, our sponsors went with us.

At every single one of those 215+ games, our sponsor banners were proudly displayed along the fence - putting the names of the businesses and organizations that support our girls front and center wherever the Ravens took the field.

We were incredibly fortunate to have close to 40 businesses, organizations, families, and community partners step up and invest in our girls and our program this season.

And when you look at what these four teams accomplished, your support was a part of it.

There are moments that remind you this is about so much more than softball.

This week, I put together 15 apparel orders totaling 75+ pieces heading out to our Ravens Flock. Tank tops, T-shirts, hoodies, hats… all ready to be worn with pride.

Seeing that many families choose to represent The Flock away from the ballpark is something I’ll never take for granted. It’s humbling, and it makes me incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

10U. Running It Back!

Not because we had to. Because we get to.

This isn't a rebuild. It isn't a reload. It's an opportunity.

An opportunity to bring back nearly an entire roster that spent the last year laying the foundation for what's ahead. A team that learned how to compete, trust one another, and embrace the work that comes with getting better every single day.

Last season wasn't about chasing trophies. It was about building something bigger. Building confidence. Building toughness. Building a culture where every girl learned what it means to compete for the teammate beside her.

That foundation has been laid.

While a couple of teammates have moved on to pursue other passions, we're grateful for everything they brought to this team and wish them nothing but the best in whatever comes next.

For everyone returning, the mission remains the same.

Show up. Hustle. Work hard. Compete for each other.

Raise the standard every single day.

We're not starting over.

We're coming back with more experience, more confidence, and a stronger bond than ever before.

🐦‍⬛🥎 WHAT A WAY TO CLOSE OUT 12U! 🐦‍⬛🥎

This past weekend, our Ravens wrapped up an incredible season at Chuck’s Midnight Madness and we decided there was no better way to finish than by jumping headfirst into our first-ever 14U tournament.

Not only did we play up, we went all in and entered 14-Open.

And these girls competed like no other.

They battled their way through the night, earned a spot in the championship game, and finished as tournament runners-up after falling to an incredibly strong Steel team that will thankfully be moving on to 16U next season. 😂

One of the moments that truly showed just how far this team has come involved an opponent we knew well. That team had beaten us at Chuck’s Midnight Madness last year. Since then, they had spent the entire season competing at the 14U level and doing extremely well.

This weekend, our girls stepped onto that same 14U field and beat them not once, but twice. Once in pool play and again in bracket play when it really mattered.

That speaks volumes.

It shows how much stronger, tougher, more confident, and more complete this group has become. They were not intimidated by the older competition, the late-night schedule, or the challenge in front of them. They simply stepped onto the field and competed.

This Spring and Summer alone, these girls played a total of 69 games and finished with only 24 losses. Even in those losses, the average margin was just over three runs. Fifteen of those 24 losses were decided by three runs or fewer and TEN of them came down to just one run.

I could not be prouder of the way these girls competed all season long. This team never stopped fighting, never gave up, and truly gave itself a chance to win every time it stepped onto the field. They were competitive in EVERY game, and that says so much more about their heart, growth, and determination than any final record ever could.

When I think back to where this group started and look at where they are now, the growth is impossible to ignore. They have learned how to battle through adversity, trust one another, play for the girl beside them, and keep fighting until the final out.

Our time at 12U may be over, but this group is nowhere close to finished.

Next stop: 13U.

Older competition. Bigger challenges. A new chapter.

13U - RELOADED. 🐦‍⬛

On Saturday, 4 of our 11U Ravens competed in the MO-KAN All State tournament. They teamed up with athletes from 3 teams from Kansas. It was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with new friends and work with the Team Fury Coaches from Wichita. Our Ravens got to play in some of their favorite positions and try out a few new spots! The tournament was a great way to represent what it is to be a Raven. 🐦‍⬛ 🥎

Today was all about representing the FLOCK and celebrating some of the best talent from both sides of the state at the MO-KAN All-State Games!

After surviving the craziness of Chuck’s Midnight Madness Pool Play (and running on very little sleep 😴), several of our Ravens were right back on the field today doing what they love.

The Ravens coaching staff had the privilege of coaching an incredible group of athletes, and we’re proud to say our team battled its way to TWO victories on the day. But more importantly, it was an opportunity to build new friendships, coach some outstanding players from other organizations, and watch these girls compete alongside some of the area’s best.

Gracie took home the 12U A/B Fastest Velo Skills Competition Championship, lighting up the radar gun at an impressive 55 MPH! 💨🔥

That kind of velocity doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment to getting better every single day. We couldn’t be more proud of the way she represented the Ravens!

Moments like these remind us what this game is really about! Bringing great athletes together, learning from one another, and making memories that will last long after the final out.

To all of the players who represented their organizations today: thank you for competing the right way. It was such a great experience and privilege to share the field with each of you.

And to our Ravens - We’re incredibly proud of you. After a night that turned into an early morning, you still showed up, gave your best, and represented this program with class.

What a way to wrap up an unforgettable softball weekend. Well after tonight’s bracket play that is! 😜

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN…THE RAVENS TAKE OVER

This isn’t just late-night softball. This is RAVENS AFTER DARK.

This weekend, the FLOCK takes its first adventure into 14U, and we’re doing it the only way that makes sense. Under the lights, through the night, and with absolutely no plans of slowing down.

The Ravens 12U take flight at 11:00 PM, storm back onto the field at 1:40 AM, and while the rest of the city is deep asleep, we’ll still be bringing the noise at 4:20 AM!

Three games. One night. No sleep.
A new challenge. A bigger stage. And a group of girls ready to see exactly what they can do.

So load up the coolers, grab the blankets, pour the coffee, and prepare to stay loud until sunrise.

And if you’re lying awake and can’t sleep anyway…
COME ON DOWN AND CHEER THESE LADIES ON!

13U. Reloaded!

Not because we had to. Because that’s what strong programs do.

This isn’t a rebuild. The foundation is already in place. The culture has already been established. The standard has already been set. This group has spent the last several years earning the opportunity to take this next step together.

We didn’t go searching for bodies to fill a roster. We added two players who simply fit. On the field, in the dugout, and in the culture we’ve worked so hard to build.

Now it’s time to keep climbing.

The age classification on the roster changed, but the mission didn’t. Show up. Hustle. Work hard. Compete for each other. Keep raising the standard every single day.

The road gets tougher at 13U. That’s exactly how we want it. This group has never backed down from a challenge, and we don’t expect them to start now.
