Congratulations to our LWYS Alumni Mel Carroll and Jack Treutelaar who were presented the Tim Wetzel Memorial Scholarship at the annual LHS Community Awards Breakfast. Thank you both for your contributions to LWYS as athletes, then volunteers with the program. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

LWYS is excited to bring back our offseason football camps, reimagined and better than ever.

This year, we’re introducing two focused weekend experiences designed to help athletes build confidence and sharpen their skills ahead of the fall season:

Wildcat Trench Warfare Camp (offensive and defensive line) and Wildcat Skills Camp (quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and defensive coverage).

Led by Varsity Head Coach Eric Schmidt and supported by experienced LWYS coaches, along with current and former high school and collegiate players, these camps are built to develop athletes at every level.

Open to incoming 3rd through 8th graders, this is a great opportunity to:

• Get a strong start if you’re new to tackle football
• Refine and elevate your skills if you’re returning
• Learn directly from the coaches leading teams this fall

Each camp includes two sessions over one weekend, combining skill development with competitive, team-based drills, plus a camp t shirt to wrap it all up.

Spots are limited and these fill quickly.

Attention all K-6th grade softball players: it’s time to prep for the upcoming spring season! Join the LHS coaching staff and team members March 8th 9 - 11 a.m in the LHS field house to spend time working on softball skills! *This is a great intro for players new to the sport this year as well!*.
